The Outer Worlds 2 Guide | All Pet Locations

The Outer Worlds 2 contains alien pets that you can collect, each with its own charm and personality; gathering all of them will unlock the Hatchling Catcher achievement. You can find each of the pets in various regions across the game. 

You'll often run into them doing small tasks, merchants, or just by exploring. This guide will cover how you'll be able to locate all of the 12 pets.

Lucy The Crabble

You'll be able to find the first pet, Lucy the Crabble, just south of the starting region around the Crabble Farm. There will be a distressed farmer who explains that her Crabble, Lucy, got sick from eating  Purpleberry Crunch.

You'll be able to heal Lucy through three methods: By using a Medical 5 skill, which not many people will have, possessing the Dumb trait, or by using the Trauma Kit. Once Lucy gets healed, she will be eager to join you in your adventure. 

Hover Drone

Around the eastern side of the map in the Cost-Automatic Repair Cente, there will be a courtyard. On the left handside of the courtyard, there will be a Quartermaster Automaton who acts as a vendor.

You will want to trigger a conversation with him, followed by viewing what he has to sell. Inside of the vendor menu there will be the Hover Drone pet.

Zynarium Mantiwasp

At Fort Endurance on the northernmost side of the map, in the Golden Ridge, there will be a merchant that you'll be able to find once you head inside and enter a building on your right-hand side. They sell the Zynarium Mantiwasp.

It's a cute unusual-looking bug-like pet.

Golden Dessert Verachnid

Around the southern part of the Golden Ridge, there will be a landing pad. If you follow the purple crystals and make your way left, you will notice a small Verachnid. The Verachnid will have collapsed beside one of the crystals. 

You'll need to heal it using the Trauma Kit or use your Medical skill. This will allow the pet to be a part of your ship.

Gold Canid & Raptidon Juvenile

These two pets can be found together at the ACS Undisputed claim when you're inside the ship, head to lthe second floor.

Upon exiting the elevator, head to the General Goods Peddler. It is here where you will find Gold Canid and Raptidon Juvenile.

Raptidon Jevenile

On the planet Praetor, you will be able to find another Raptodon Juvenile.

The pod it is in is not far away from the landing zone.

This Raptidon Juvenile will be starving and request meaty roll-ups, which you will be able to find in containers or from vendors. Once it is fed, it'll join you on your adventure. 

Electric Mantiwasp

On the same planet as Praetor, around the launch path, there will be a border camp.

Inside the camp, there will be a merchant called Quartermaster Owsley, who sells you the Electric Mantiwasp. You will be able to find that trader right beside the trailer.

Crabble Hatching

For this pet, you will need to travel to the planet Cloister.

At the south of the launch pad, you'll need to head to an area called Laplace's Garden, where you will be able to find the first merchant inside a building on the right side. He sells the Crabble Hatchling.

Frightened Ursopod Cub

Around the eastern part of the map in Cloister, there will be a small peninsula surrounded by a lake. You'll be able to find the frightened Ursopod Cub inside the cave across the water body.

To collect the creature, you'll need Speech 7, have Inez as a companion, or feed the Cub 3 Boneless Skinless Sprat.

Crystpig

The Crystpig can be found during Inez's personal quest called "A Most Extraordinary Specimen."

You'll be able to do the quest near a secret laboratory close to the spot where you found the Ursopod Cub on the east side of the planet Cloitor.

Inside the laboratory, there will be a locked cage that contains Crystpig. You'll need a lockpick to skill or use Mag-Pick to free the pet.

Once you've collected the final pet, you will have completed the entire pet lineup in The Outer Worlds 2
