The Sinking City 2 Guide | Church E.R.C Location

The Church E.R.C. Crate in The Sinking City 2 is located beyond a Star Key-locked gate in the graveyard, and you need to collect both the Star Key and an E.R.C. Activator Pen before you can open it and claim the Inventory Upgrade inside.  

Where to Find the Church E.R.C. Crate 

The Church E.R.C. Crate can be found during Chapter 2: The Wake-Up Call, shortly after completing the Library Annex section.

After reaching the Church, explore the surrounding area, then head outside. Follow the path around the flooded section until you find a dead body holding the Star Key. Pick up the key, as it is required to reach the E.R.C. Crate.  

How to Get the E.R.C. Activator Pen 

After collecting the Star Key, continue back toward the Church. Look for the broken window along the nearby path. Climb through the window to enter a small room inside the Church. 

The E.R.C. Activator Pen is sitting on a table inside this room. Pick it up before continuing. You will need this item to open the Emergency Relief Crate.  

How to Open the Church E.R.C. Crate 

Once you have the Star Key and E.R.C. Activator Pen, head toward the Church graveyard. 

Look for the gate marked with the Star symbol and use the Star Key to unlock it. Enter the area beyond the gate and look for the Emergency Relief Crate inside the crypt-like structure.

Interact with the crate and use your E.R.C. Activator Pen to unlock it. 

The Church E.R.C. Crate rewards you with an Inventory Upgrade, which permanently adds two additional inventory slots.  

This is a worthwhile early upgrade in The Sinking City 2, as the additional space gives you more room for ammunition, healing items, and other useful supplies. 

Church E.R.C. Crate Reward 

The reward inside the Church E.R.C. Crate is an Inventory Upgrade. Unlike regular consumable items, the upgrade permanently increases your carrying capacity. 

Make sure to collect it before leaving the Church area, especially if you're working toward opening every Emergency Relief Crate during your playthrough.
