NVIDIA DGX Spark 64GB Costs $5,000 With Less Memory

NVIDIA’s new 64GB DGX Spark raises local AI pricing concerns while offering less unified memory than the original model.

Local AI hardware pricing and memory capacity have been changing, and Nvidia’s latest DGX Spark model has raised questions about the value for users looking to run AI workloads locally. The new 64GB version brings more memory at a lower entry point than the original configuration, but its pricing changes the comparison with existing hardware.

That might not be bad, especially when you can get a 24GB 3090 for $1,000. And that’s kind of going up to about $1,500 now. But you can get 64GB for a little bit more. Yes, it’s not the same speed. But at this point, the way I got some of these models optimized right now, speed is not an issue for the DGX Spark. It’s just not.

Not with DeepSeek and GLM 5.3 FA Flash. We’re past those days of having speed issues. With the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, the DGX Spark 64GB runs capable local agents on a device and pairs seamlessly with larger workloads via Nvidia Sync Cluster Assistant. The 64GB does give you access to Qwen 3.827 B, which is a highly capable model.

Starting Friday, October 23, Nvidia will bring out new iterations of these 64GB DGX Sparks. When you start going through here and looking at it, for the most part, they talk about the two, and they talk about clustering them.

You can cluster them. So you can have two of them that equal one, which I don’t know why you would buy two 64GB Sparks when you could just buy one at 128GB. They say you can run Qwen 3.827B, and that two clustered 64GB systems delivered up to 1.7x performance compared to a single system, with room to keep scaling workloads and demands.

Overall, they’re saying a lot of things here. And then they also talk about the new Nvidia Sync Cluster Assistant. They show running one and then running two, and then running two regular-style ones, which is the two TP2, and then, of course, four of the regular-style ones.

The reason why things are in trouble is that this is what they’re offering.

And to get a DGX Spark right now, which is currently sold out, they’re charging over $10,000 on Amazon. I’ve been on Twitter for the past couple of days now, and probably a week or two, looking for the DGX Spark prices. They are up into, like, I’ve seen $5,000 and $6,000 now.

So, it’s like at this point now, if you did not buy the DGX Spark when you had the time at $4,000, the days of that are pretty much done. It just seems like the prices are going up and up and up. And for the longest time, the DGX Spark was one of the last pieces of hardware that was maintaining that price point.

RTX 6000 was going for $12,000, and I think recently they dropped the 5800, which was going for like $10,000, and now the RTX 6000 is going for like $14,000. The prices are ridiculous at this point. And if you can get a DGX Spark for $4,000 to $5,000 right now, and you’ve been thinking about getting into AI, I highly recommend it.
