Rumor: Resident Evil 8 Will Be Called Village and is Planned for 2021

Resident Evil 3 just released but apparently new information about the sequel to Resident Evil 7 was leaked. With Biohazardcast revealing a new enemy type, EU setting, and the return of Chris Redfield.

According to Biohzardcast, the game is called Resident Evil VIIage. It'll take place in the EU, include a new enemy called the Witch, have Chris take a central role, include the RE4 inventory system, and release in 2021.

Other rumors included that Ethan would return as the protagonist and the game would be first-person. Along with a Werewolves enemy but nothing has been confirmed by Capcom.

Recently, Capcom released a survey to their fans asking if they would be interested in more Resident Evil remakes. Considering that RE2 was a massive success but RE3 has more of a mixed reception the answer is leaning towards yes. With fans on Twitter asking for a Code Veronica remake.
