Overwatch Adding Ban Player Alert

Overwatch is Blizzard's latest success but it also has become one of the more unsettling multiplayer games to play due to the high toxic player count. Blizzard is attempting to curb this issue by providing solace that reports made against toxic players will not go unheeded.

Today the Winter Wonderland event returns and with it a new patch that includes an in-game notification when action is being taken against a reported player. Speaking to PCGamesN game director, Jeff Kaplan, said:

“As of that Winter Wonderland patch we’ll have the technology to do it directly in the game. Hopefully that restores some of people’s faith in the system and then they use it more.”

If a player is reported multiple times a warning will be given the player. If it continues the company will more remove to decide what action should be taken.

Overwatch is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
