Xbox One Copies of Sonic Mania Plus on Amazon Shipped Without Reversible Cover

Sonic Mania major marketing campaign was to showcase the game in a retro light, with the collector's edition of original game including retro-themed items such as Sonic Statue on a Genesis console and a Sonic Mania cartridge. The release of Sonic Mania Plus was supposed to include a reversible cover that showcased retro artwork but it seems that Xbox One owners did not get the cover.

In a bunch of posts of Sonic Mania Plus on Amazon have customers have been complaining that physical copies of the game did not include reversible covers. PS4 and Nintendo Switch copies did not have the same issue.

The game is fine. The issue is with the packaging itself. The packaging was supposed to include a reversible Genesis cover. I already have digital copies on 2 other systems, so the physical packaging was the selling point for me this time around. The sticker on the box even says the reversible cover is included, but it's single-sided. I would rate 5 stars if packaging came as advertised

Game is as good as expecting.
The package does not come with the Genesis style reversible cover, and look like a lot of poeple having the same issue.

Currently, no reviews have been posted on Best Buy, Walmart, Target, or GameStop about copies having the same issue.

We've reached out to SEGA and Amazon about the issue but have not received a response as of yet.

Sonic Mania Plus is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
