Causal Loop Guide | How to Solve Every Puzzle in Chapter 2

Chapter 2 begins with a simple movement section that teaches you the route forward before the puzzle mechanics become more important. From the starting area, go right, head up the stairs, and continue right again. After the cutscene, move left, wait for the dialogue to finish, cross the bridge, and enter the door ahead.

Inside the next area, press the button and approach the door. The dialogue will explain that you do not have enough time to reach the door normally. This is the first major clue that Chapter 2 is built around timing and repeated actions.

Reaching The Four-Button Room

After the door dialogue, go around and press the button again. Cross the bridge, crawl under the rock, and continue by jumping across the gap. Enter the small dark area nearby. The light will turn on automatically when you step inside.

Once the dialogue ends, press all four buttons in the room. This triggers another explanation and prepares the next part of the chapter, where the Branch Portal becomes the main puzzle mechanic.

When the Branch Portal appears, create a branch. After creating it, press the button and wait through the next dialogue. The branch helps solve the timing problem by allowing the action to happen while you move toward the door.

Go to the door and wait for it to open. Once it opens, pass through and continue forward into the next section of Chapter 2.

Activating The Inactive Bridge

After the dialogue, keep moving straight. When the path opens up, turn right and look for the inactive bridge. You can't cross the bridge directly because it's not active yet. Jump across the rocks instead to reach the button on the other side.

Press the button, and another Branch Portal will appear. Use it to create a branch leading to the button, then press the button again through the branch setup. Wait until the bridge activates, then cross it safely.

Reaching The Chapter 2 Teleport

After crossing the activated bridge, continue forward along the path. Head toward the active teleport at the end of the area. Step into the teleport to complete Chapter 2.
