Overwatch launches today on Nintendo Switch, just in time for the Halloween Terror event. Tomorrow Blizzard was going to hold a special event at the Nintendo Store in New York but canceled the event.
Please be aware that the previously announced Overwatch launch event scheduled for Wednesday, 10/16 at NintendoNYC has been cancelled by Blizzard. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Nintendo confirmed the news on its official social media platform. Confirming that both the open event and reservation only part of the event was canceled by Blizzard. Blizzard didn't provide any reason for the cancelation but it's likely due to the backlash the company has been facing since temporarily banning Hearthstone pro player Blitzchung after he said: "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our age!". Removing him from pro play for 1-year and revoking his prize money.
Blitzchung's political statement rippled across the internet after Blizzard banned the player, offering 2 statements. One for the west and one for China, showing contrasting statements. Since the ban fans have taken to social media and started encouraging gamers to boycott all Activision Blizzard titles. With many gamers planning a protest at this year's BlizzCon 2019.
Overwatch is now available for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
