Dead Space 3 Possible If Fans Want It

Dead Space 2 isn’t even out until January 2011, and developer Visceral Games already has plans for a third. Executive producer Steve Papoutsis says they’re already solidifying ideas for Dead Space 3, but it ultimately depends on the fans’ undying support. In an interview with Eurogamer, Papoustis stated they already have “mapped out where we’d like to go with it.”

“We've thought about it all. But ultimately, just like with Dead Space 2, we have to have the support from the players in order to do it,” he continued. Papoustis also hopes that people will like the sequel and receive “critical support” from fans. Only then will “we [Visceral] get an opportunity to do another one.”

Not only is Visceral already discussing Dead Space 3, Papoustis declared that they’ll make even more Dead Space sequels – only if Dead Space 2 is very well-received. "We're working really hard to make sure this game's better so we get a chance to do Dead Space 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 20. "But when there isn't an outpouring of support it doesn't make a lot of sense to do that."

So if you really love the Dead Space franchise and would love to see Dead Space 20 in the far-flung future, Visceral’s got your back. All they ask in return is for your support. Oh, and buying Dead Space 2 when it comes out, of course.
