Death Tank Hits Live Arcade

Many reading this probably won’t have played the original, or originals to be more exact. They were games within games, and were only playable via PowerSlave and Duke Nukem on the Sega Saturn. Now Snowblind Studios – the guys who brought us Baulder’s Gate: Dark Alliance, have decided to bring this title to Xbox Live Arcade.

The game is set in the same mold of Worms, Scorched Earth, and GunBound - that sort of thing. Where players line-up their shots by calculating various angles and speeds, and then launch their missiles at the enemy. Unlike most of these types of games, Death Tank is played in real-time, which makes for more fast-paced and frantic action.

The game features secret upgrades that you can equip to your tank, so you can unleash some crazy-ass attacks on your foes. The terrain is also fully destructible and adds different elements of strategy into the mix.

The game can be played by up to 4 players on the same Xbox 360, and 8 players in total. The game will cost a pricey 1200 Microsoft points and is due for release tomorrow – February 18th.
