Free Star Trek Online Soon

Do you remember we once talked to the successful MMO beacon, Cryptic studios, before Atari turned their backs on them? I sure do, because I remember everything about anything. I’m that guy. Anyway, in the shortest, most to-the-point release we’ve ever gotten, Cryptic have announced that Star Trek Online will be joining the free-to-play ranks on January 17, 2012.
 

 

This is one of many MMO’s to go free, after Champions Online for instance. Cryptic is also still working on Neverwinter, set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. My tattoo will be happy to know that. That is all.
