Gamers are Fat and Depressed

In a recent report from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention in San Diego, California, they’ve looked at the behaviour patterns of over 500 adults aged between 19 and 90 and found that we’re all fat and depressed… apparently.

They claim that the average age of video game players is 35 – and that those who do sit in front of their televisions every day, playing their favourite titles must be fat and depressed. They are also more dependent on the internet, rather than interacting with friends, family and colleagues.

Male gamers apparently spend the most time on the net and are more likely to be obese, whilst women should have greater levels of depression and a lower health status to that of their male counterparts.
