Latest Patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity to Roll Out December 15

Will the newest patch finally put an end to the bugs plaguing Assassin's Creed Unity?

The Live Update team for Assassin’s Creed: Unity announced that a fourth patch will launch across all gaming platforms on Monday, December 15. The team outlined the patch’s goals of fixing issues with the game’s framerate, reducing the number of game crashes, and improving the functionality of the companion app, which allows players with smartphones to solve puzzles and unlock exclusive missions related to the game. The team hopes that this latest patch will take care of "most of the remaining issues our players have been reporting."

Since its release on November 11, Assassin’s Creed Unity has received negative criticism for its staggering amount of technical issues, including a glitch that removes the faces from random characters, leaving only eyeballs and teeth. While some players found it frightening, others found it worthy of its own internet memes.

The bugs in Assassin’s Creed Unity have been so bad that Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, released an apology via blog post to players on November 28, declaring:

"I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

Ubisoft also gave players free access to the DLC Dead Kings, along with their choice of one free game from their list of upcoming releases. Available titles included Far Cry 4, The Crew, and Watch Dogs.

Players can expect the patch for Assassin’s Creed: Unity on Monday, December 15, and be sure to check back with NoobFeed for more news.
