Murks and Smithing Stones are the most essential items you should be farming in Elden Ring Nightreign, as Murks are the currency to buy skins, and Smithing Stones are used to upgrade your Weapons, which is the most critical part of winning the Expeditions.
Selling Relics
The first way to get Murks in Elden Ring Nightreign is to open your map while in the Round-Table-Hold. Go into the Relic Rites tab and then go to the sell option. There, you can sell all the Relics you currently have, and this is where you can sell your Relics.
Filters may be applied to change which ones are displayed. Use the appropriate button to filter the Relics. This allows you to organize by favorites, small, medium, or large relics, so that you don't accidentally sell any Relics that might be valuable. You should mainly sell small and medium Relics, as larger Relics often have strong or special stats worth keeping.
Click the sell button once you have chosen the Relics you want to sell.
Small Relics are sold for 150 Murk, medium Relics for 350 Murk, and larger ones for 550 Murk.
Besides selling Relics, you can purchase Scenic-Flat-Stone in Elden Ring Nightreign using your Murks from the Small-Jar-Bazaar. Visit the Small-Jar-Bazaar and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There is a Scenic Flat Stone item that costs 600 Murk.
Purchasing it will give you a random Relic that will vary depending on your RNG. You can choose from small, medium, or even a large one. These are like Loot Boxes that can give you more Murks for a small number of Murks.
Doing Expeditions
Murk is also a reward for expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign. Every time you return from an expedition, alive or dead, you receive some Murk as a reward.
If you are looking for more Relics to sell for Murks, you must play a lot of Expeditions. Whether or not you kill Night Lords, the Relics are in your gameplay progression. Remember not to overspend on random relic purchases because that will decrease your Murks.
Getting Smithing Stones
Smithing Stones are essential to upgrade Weapons during Expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign. You can get Smithing Stones without using your Runes to get them.
While some of the Strengthened-Armament-Stations will have vendors selling Smithing Stones for 6,500 runes, you shouldn't do this. There is a much quicker and more effective method for getting Smithing Stones.
You can get Smithing Stones as random drops throughout the game, but the guaranteed way is to go to the Mines. Those areas will always have the Smithing Stones.
In the Mines, your primary objective is to find the Boss. The Boss is usually either a Giant or a Pot-Headed guy who does Ground Attacks. If you kill the Boss, you'll always get a Purple-Grade Smithing-Stone as loot. This method is the best way to get high-level upgrade materials for your Weapons early in the game.
If you're just looking for regular Smithing Stones, check all the chests and loot throughout the mine. These will generally provide you with the smaller stones you'll use for your initial-tier upgrades.
