The Raider is a powerful class in Elden Ring Nightreign. In order to unlock his full potential, you will need to complete a somewhat lengthy and convoluted remembrance quest line, all of which will be covered in this guide.

Beginning Raider Remembrance Questline

In order to begin the Raider Remembrance quest line, you will need to first play as him during an expedition. You can do this in the sentient pest expedition, but any target should work.

You don't need to advance very far in the expedition to unlock his remembrance quest line, and you should be able to complete your expedition on your first try, owing to just how good the raider class is.

If you prioritize visiting the central castle during day one and defeating all of the mid-tier enemies within it—those being trolls, crucible knights, or banished knights—you and your team can accrue tons of runes and levels. This is a major factor in reaching level 15 in all of your raider expeditions.

You can also get two legendary weapons from the castle during a single run, in addition to tons of other fantastic loot.

Completing the sentient pest expedition and defeating Noster Wisdom of Knight on Raider will allow you to complete the first two major steps in his remembrance quest line. You will also unlock both the Duchess and Revenant characters at this point, so that might factor into the equation.

Raider Remembrance 1 (Chapter 2, Torn Braided Cord Relic)

Once back at Round Table Hold, you can go to chapter 2 of Raider in the journal and begin remembrance. You will then need to speak with the Iron Menial NPC and touch the nearby stone monument.

You can then speak to the menial again and touch the monument again to begin the first trial. You'll need to face off with and defeat the one-strike gladiator, which, all in all, is a pretty trivial task.

You will then need to speak with the menial and show the torn braided cord that you received. You can then attempt to interact with the monument, speak with the iron menial once more, and use the nearby portal to complete the Chapter 2 remembrance.

Doing so will get you the torn braided cord relic for Raider, which can be equipped at the relic right station to up his power considerably.

Prerequisite for Raider Remembrance 2 (Chapter 4)

At this point, after completing just the one expedition on Raider, you should be able to access his chapter 4 remembrance. If you are not currently able to do so, be sure that you've defeated at least one or more Night Lords with Raider.

Raider Remembrance 2 (Chapter 4, Raider's Chalice)

You can then begin the remembrance by speaking with the menial to get the iron menial scroll, then speak with him once more. The monument should light up, and you can touch it to begin the next trial, which will require you to defeat the Blinding Elder Lion.

This is considerably more difficult than the previous challenge and will require better use of dodging and the Raider's character skill as well as ultimate art in order to be successful.

Once you've achieved victory, you can speak with the Iron Menial and use the nearby portal to complete the chapter four remembrance. Upon exiting, you will receive the Raider's chalice, which can be equipped to the Raider over at the relic right station. It has a white Relic slot, which can fit any relic regardless of color.

Prerequisite for Raider Remembrance 3 (Chapter 7)

It will not be until after defeating two more Night Lords as Raider that you will be able to access the final step in Raider Remembrance quest line. It's unclear if you can just defeat the same target multiple times to unlock this final step.

However, since Raider is one of the best classes overall, you might as well defeat new or undefeated targets. The augur target can be a huge pain as melee, so if you do pick this target, it's recommended to bring an iron eye along with you.

At this point, you should have defeated four unique Night Lord targets across all characters, which unlocks the final target: the night aspect. It's not sure if this is relevant to completing the Raider Remembrance quest line specifically, but it could be a factor.

What will unlock that final step is using Raider to defeat one more unique night lord, which could be the equilibrious beast or Libra Creature of Night.

Raider Remembrance 3 (Chapter 7, Black Claw Necklace Relic)

After defeating three unique Night Lords as Raider and completing Chapter 2 and four remembrance quest steps for Raider, you should be able to access and begin Raider's Chapter 7 remembrance.

After speaking with the Iron Menial and trying to touch the monument, you can check the journal to see that you need to head to the shore. Doing so, you should receive a message: "Hark the murmuring of waves". You will then be transported to the arena for your final challenge.

The White Horn is a fairly difficult opponent. The best strategy is to keep a conservative distance and use jump attacks, followed by evasive maneuvers, to slowly chip away at his health.

You should be particularly mindful of when the white horn gets a misty aura around it, which indicates that he is about to use a powerful martial skill. The second phase of the fight begins when the white horn is at around half health and is actually the easier phase of the fight.

Final Steps (Raider Remembrance Garb)

After overcoming this final challenge, you can speak with the menial NPC, interact with the monument, and then speak with the menial once more.

You can then place an offer at the nearby stone to receive the remembrance skin or garb for Raider and interact with the nearby portal to complete Chapter 7 remembrance.

Upon exiting, you'll receive the Black Claw Necklace, a purple or epic relic that is specific to Raider. You may need to reload the game, but you should also now have access to the wardrobe area of Round Table Hold, where you can change the Raider's garb or skin.
