This guide details how to complete the Rotted Woods Secret Event for useful buffs and gear in Elden Ring Nightreign.
If you have defeated the first five bosses, the Shifting Earth Secret Event in the Rotted Woods will be available. To ensure this event spawns, rest at the Round Table to cycle through the various Shifting Earth events.
You must be at least Level 10, as several formidable enemies are lurking within the Rotted Woods.
Locating the Fort in the Rotted Woods
Head to the northeast section of the Rotted Woods until you discover the Fort perched atop a cliff. At the very top of this Fort, you will encounter a Lordsworn Captain, an optional but easily dispatched enemy.
Beyond the Lordsworn Captain, you will find a table that reveals the Rotted Woods Blessing Secret and automatically pins it to your map with a red circle. Note that the red circle's position is randomized; it may appear in a slightly different spot for you.
Traversing the Rotted Woods
Once the Blessing Secret is pinned, move swiftly to its location before the relentless storm cuts it off. As you navigate the Rotted Woods, expect to incur Scarlet Rot damage.
If you struggle with this damage-over-time effect, equip a relic or consumable that bolsters Scarlet Rot resistance, although a sufficiently high level may render this unnecessary.
The Blessing is often perched atop structures such as tree stumps or collapsed ruins, so prepare for some simple platforming. Staying aware of your surroundings will allow you to avoid most enemies and make a quick path to the Blessing.
Collecting the Rotted Woods Blessing
When you arrive at the pinned location, leap onto the structure holding the Blessing and grab it swiftly—enemies may converge on this site, and the storm will soon close off the area.
Upon picking up the Blessing, you immediately nullify all Scarlet Rot damage, increase your maximum HP, and gain the ability for your attacks to recover HP after you take damage. These bonuses prove invaluable in the Rotted Woods and beyond.
Tips and Recommendations
To start over with the Rotted Woods Shifting Earth Secret Event, go back to the Round Table and rest. If you're having trouble with Scarlet Rot, use items or gear that give you protection to lessen the damage it does.
Avoid combat where possible—time is limited, and the storm can quickly cut off pathways. When seeking the Blessing, look for high vantage points such as trees, ruins, or ledges since many Blessings are tucked away and require only minimal platforming to reach.
