Today, a new Detective Pikachu game was revealed for the Nintendo Switch. But for those looking for something more traditional will be glad to hear that more information about Pokemon Sword and Shield will release this June 5th.

Detective Pikachu,NoobFeed,

Got any plans tomorrow? You do now, Trainers!

We’ve got some exciting updates to share, and you know what that means: #PokemonPressConference!

Tune in at 6:00 p.m. PDT on May 28th to follow the updates live. https://t.co/lcAxqoYQMQ pic.twitter.com/o8VJyrHeKW

The livestream will take place on 6 am PT / 9 am ET and last about 15 minutes. This is long enough to see a new trailer, information about the region, and new Pokemon being offered. Since its only one game, we can expect a focused stream of announcements.

It seems strange to have an announcement days before E3 2019 but perhaps Nintendo and The Pokemon Company is looking to avoid the overcrowding of information.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are set to release for Nintendo Switch this year.
