Possible New PS3 Model

There is a rumor stemming from Polygamia that a new PS3 model may be available this month. According to CVG an image featured in a recent promotional newsletter points to this knowledge. Images also surfaced on NeoGAF showing plans for a new PS3 model. Users suggested a price drop, color change, and new hard drive sizes.

Many other rumors have surfaced suggesting that Sony will launch a new PS3 model including a Facebook post claiming the new PS3 model would have 12GB of flash memory and will be available in October. Other rumors also suggest a 12GB model would be available for around $260 and a 500GB model would be close to $400. 

As most rumors go, they usually end up being half truths. If the rumors are correct, it doesn't seem like much of a price drop. If a new model is going to be available in October, I would assume Sony will be making an announcement very soon.
