PS Plus Not Required for No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky won't require a PS Plus subscription to play online.

Hello Games are listed the game on both the PlayStation Store and Steam as single-player. Players can still play offline but the online portion will go into effect when making discovers. 

So basically the entirely game can be played offline but online goes into effect when you've made a discovery. Hopefully Hello Games' hubris won't be their downfall, after all the internet is full of dedicated players who'll probably go above and beyond to probably populate a planet full of players. You never know.

No Man's Sky launches August 9th on PS4 and PC.
