After the announcement of Sonic The Hedgehog coming as a classic for the mobile with SEGA Forever, and with the wait until the release date of Sonic Mania coming close to an end. Takashi Iizuka, the lead of Team Sonic has recently spoken a few words regarding Sonic Mania and the content we’re going to wait for.

In an interview with Dengeki Online, the developer SEGA has recently confirmed that Sonic Mania will be the Classic Sonic game with the most levels in the entire saga. Iizuka himself hasn’t really entered in further details regarding how many levels we’ll have in contrast to other games, I would’ve liked to hear about if that also included the amount of levels from the combined Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

However, I won’t look down at it for that reason because Sonic Team has been known for delivering on their promises.  We also get the fact that SEGA will be allied with the company Data Discs to make an exclusive Vinyl album that will compile all the music from Sonic Mania to celebrate the 26th year of the Sonic The Hedgehog Franchise.

Coupled with some great songs from the videogame picked by the composer Tee Lopes, we’ll also get a few sideshow pages with concept art for Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and some of the stages that have become staples in the series like Green Hill zone. The vinyl will be available in two sets of colors, Sonic Blue and Black with fans being able to purchase it come mid-July of this year. It is a great time to be a Classic Sonic fan, let’s just hope that this game is one that the Classic sonic fans will be happy to have in their collection.
