Another useful tool in Combat encounters is Focus which slows down time when you aim your weapon. It helps you line up shots and make quick decisions during messy firefights. Knowing when to use it can keep you alive when you are outnumbered.

How to Trigger Focus

To enter Focus, hold the left trigger to aim and click the left thumbstick. To exit, click the left thumbstick again while holding the aim button. Keep an eye on the yellow curve at the bottom of your screen in 007 First Light.

This is your Focus Meter. It starts at six charges, and each charge drains as you stay in slow motion. Do not burn your entire meter at once. Pick your spots and try to mix in shots without slowing time to save power

Managing Your Meter

If you run out of energy, you need to earn it back. You regain Focus by landing shots on your targets.

Headshots and disarming enemies are accurate hits that will give you the most energy. Take advantage of the environment in these fights.

If you shoot gas cans or fuel tanks near enemies, you can take out groups at once, which fills your Focus Meter much faster than picking off guards one by one in 007 First Light.

Tactical Tips for Combat

Always watch your ammo counts. If you run empty, swap to another weapon quickly rather than standing in the open to reload. If you are in a License to Kill situation where guns are allowed, look for cover and wait for enemies to move into range.

Use Focus to handle tricky targets, like guards throwing grenades or those wearing armor. Switching up your weapons (shotguns, pistols etc.) and keeping moving will keep the combat flowing and help you maintain your meter throughout the fight.
