Power up Scrappy quickly with the best early-game fruit routes in Buried City.
Game Guide by Ornstein on Nov 02, 2025
Leveling Scrappy early saves time and smooths your crafting loop in ARC Raiders. This guide shows where to find Lemons, Apricots, and Prickly Pears in Buried City so you can upgrade Scrappy fast. Follow these routes, feed the fruit, and watch your workshop materials climb while you raid.
Meet Scrappy

Scrappy is your loyal workshop companion. While you raid, Scrappy collects core crafting materials such as metal, plastic, and chemicals. Think of Scrappy as a behind-the-scenes scavenger that keeps the workshop stocked even when you are out hunting loot.
Why Upgrading Scrappy Matters
Upgrading Scrappy increases the amount and quality of materials gathered. This cuts hours of grinding later and keeps upgrades and gear moving. The sooner you upgrade Scrappy, the faster your overall progression becomes.
Early Fruit in Buried City

You level Scrappy by feeding specific fruits found around the Buried City map. Early on, you need Lemons and Apricots. Both spawn throughout Morano Park, which sits between West Village and New District near the center of the map. Check benches, under trees, and along pathways. Some trees can be shaken to drop extra fruit.
Level 2 Upgrade: Lemons and Apricots in Morano Park
For the Level 2 upgrade training, you need three Lemons and three Apricots. Sweep Morano Park methodically. Move tree to tree, shake interactable trunks, and scan the ground along the main paths. Keep circling the benches and open grass pockets where fruit often blends with the terrain.

Level 3 Upgrade: Prickly Pears South of Plaza Rosa
For Level 3 training, shift focus to Prickly Pears in the southern section of Buried City, directly below Plaza Rosa. Look for two cactus clusters in open terrain. Prickly Pears tend to blend with the base of the cacti, so move slowly and scan carefully.
A faint glow appears when you are close, and an interact prompt pops up when you can pick them. You need six Prickly Pears total, along with a few other items, to complete the Level 3 upgrade.
Expect multiple trips. One fruit per run is common, though rare spawns can yield more. Be patient and keep the route tight around the twin clusters.

Feeding Scrappy and Progress Tips
Once you have the required fruit, return to the workshop and feed Scrappy. Each feeding boosts Scrappy’s level and lets the companion gather more and better materials while you are looting. Do not overlook Scrappy—an early investment speeds up every future craft.
When searching, prioritize Morano Park for Lemons and Apricots. For Prickly Pears, take your time below Plaza Rosa. The fruit often blends into the cacti, so slow scanning beats rushing. With these routes and steady feeding, you keep the workshop stocked and your upgrades on schedule.
