The AVN genre, or adult games on Steam in 2025, didn't get much attention compared to the previous years. Some games had promise, but others didn't live up to the high standards set by the genre's stellar predecessors. Nevertheless, we managed to catch the game that stood out from the crowd because of its excellent story, stunning graphics, and, most importantly, the dedication this genre requires.
To set the stage for the games I'll be talking about below, I recommend reading my reviews of earlier top AVN titles of 2025 (until August).

Projekt: Passion - Season 2
Projekt: Passion - Season 1 was already in my top list of AVN games, and Season 2 is no different. Season 2 carries on the galactic journey with the same endearing qualities that made the first season so popular. The end of the world has come, the cosmos is in disarray, and your ship's crew is wackier (and endearing) than ever. This season expands the universe, adds more detail, and deepens character arcs.
The sequel is much better than the first game for everyone who liked it for its funny story, wonderful graphics, and overall pleasure. It is a great game in every way. The plot moves smoothly between hilarious and tragic parts, keeping the appeal of space opera but staying true to its origins as an adult visual novel.
The sexual moments in the story are well-written and don't feel forced. Even while there isn't a ton of room for story progression, you can influence characters' interactions and galactic terminology through dialogue choices.
As in the previous season, the visuals here are good, but they don't set the genre standard as Season 1 did.
Outdoor settings, which I mostly criticized in Season 1, have, in my opinion, come a long way. But every once in a while, low-resolution graphics would appear within the ship. Usually, you only see them from a distance, although there were a couple of instances where a close-up of a door or wall showed obvious blurriness.
Regardless of these nuances, the animations still cycle neatly, and it's hard to discern the start and end of each loop because of the multilayered action. If you were a fan of the Projekt: Passion's pilot, you're going to love Season 2. You can tell the characters are real, and there's just the right amount of humor and touching scenes. It's an impressive AVN from start to finish!
Love Mansion
Love Mansion is a 3D anime-style AVN with some minor management-sim elements, fully voice-acted in both Japanese and English. The game focuses on character-driven paths and interactive 3D H-scenes. It combines elements of teaching with a lavish house setting, replete with romance, temptation, and familial strife.
Love Mansion's narrative has an interesting premise. We follow a former video game streamer who discovers true joy through his newfound passion for teaching. As the protagonist, you live with your student's family—a mother, sister, and maid—allowing you to provide one-on-one attention while she studies for exams.
The three girls in the game each have five different sex choices that change based on their relationship status. You may almost assure a flawless ending by taking advantage of the game's generous time limit to follow all the girls. After each scene, a high-quality HCG is unlocked, and the scenes are seen in 3D. Visually, this game shines. Very few hentai games use 3D, so that's a major plus.
There is a reasonable amount of sexual content in this game.
Each of the three characters and the maid appears in eighteen scenes. The game isn't perfect, but it's above average and has lovely designs. In addition to having distinct personalities, the character designs are gorgeous. Although kinks are often somewhat plain, their animated forms greatly enhance their appeal. After a scene ends, you receive a still image, which, strangely enough, is usually more satisfying than the animated scene itself.
Not to mention that the game's English voice acting is top-notch as well! What Love Mansion promises is delivered in full force, thanks to the varied heroines, satisfying 3D sequences, and great Seiyuu performances. Although there isn't a gallery and there are occasional glitches, the game's mood and unique blend of life simulation and adult storyline set it apart. It's worth your time if you're interested in a decent tale with a hint of adult stuff.
The Censor DX Edition
The Censor DX Edition is more than a linear visual novel. It's a hentai time management simulation that engages players in social interactions with NPCs. There are a plethora of appearances from their previously published games, and the trademark fantastic Pixel graphics stay unchanged. It's an NTR sandbox with tons of content and strikes a good balance between open-world exploration and organized hero arcs.
Both the plot and the amount of narrative text in the game are non-linear. You play as Yuto Fujimoto, the protagonist of this 2D adventure game combining management and role-playing game features. In keeping with the management theme, the game uses a day system with four time slots, during which the main character can perform various tasks.
Yuto is responsible for policing online sexual material. However, he does more than just make money at this job; he also unlocks a plethora of social media accounts, which he uses to find revealing photos of individuals he knows, such as his landlady, a renowned idol, and a nun from the local church.
As you explore a free-roaming sandbox, you'll encounter errands, rumors, and side quests as you follow three heroine routes.
With over twenty-five animated H-scenes and a plethora of HCGs from previous Mango Party games, The Censor DX Edition offers a lot of diversity. The H scenes combine pixel animation and CGI, showcasing a high volume and diversity. Although there is a tendency toward NTR and SM flavors, the general tone is more comedic than heavy. For those who can endure the lengthy corruption process, the substance is just compelling. Plus, there are a ton of mini-games to choose from, so it's not just about being an online moderator.
Those who have enjoyed Mango Party games will like The Censor DX Edition. Putting the story aside, there is a lot to like in this game: a diverse cast of female characters to have an affair with to keep you entertained for hours. You may easily finish the game in a few hours since it is relatively short. However, unlocking all H-scenes does take some grinding. With its vibrant pixel graphics, chaotic structure, and ever-present hidden scenes, this game is sure to be a hit with genre fans.
Carnal Contract
Carnal Contract is a refreshingly new twist on the AVN genre. It features many attractive women in various locations and has decent 3D graphics. It all begins with the usual summer getaway with friends, but throws that notion the second it happens by plunging you into an enigmatic adventure filled with sexuality. This leads to the game's protagonist, a young guy whose life is in jeopardy after being entangled in a perilous game with 10 challenging tasks.
The story begins with the protagonist, Dotty, joining an enigmatic group after his father's passing. In return for cash rewards, he is subjected to ever more brutal sexual trials. You will need to use your intellect and desire to navigate this unusual situation, not just stay alive. The story wonderfully blends psychological drama with captivating elements to keep you interested as you try to find out who is pulling the strings and why you were chosen.
The decisions you make will affect how Dotty's relationships with Diane, Nicole, and Becky conclude.
As the difficulty of the tasks increases, you'll have to choose between protecting people you care about, giving in to your desires, or sacrificing yourself to stay alive. The choices you make affect the women you live with and the consequences of those choices.
There is a fair amount of explicit material in this game, including over a hundred unique pornographic graphics and 29 animated sex sequences. In terms of the scenes themselves, they feature varied camera perspectives, brief yet smooth animations, and sexual sound effects such as thrusts and groans.
To my surprise, Carnal Contract was a lot of fun. The story is well-organized and engaging, and the decisions you make matter. It has an enthralling plot, memorable characters, stunning graphics, and decent h-scenes. Although there are several options to choose from, the ones that really matter determine whether you comply with what the game asks you to do. Overall, if you like sexual games with meaningful plot options, you should definitely give this one a try.
MILFs of Sunville - Season 2
MILFs of Sunville - Season 2 takes up just where Season 1 left off, expanding upon the story while keeping the fundamentals intact. The story picks up just where Season 1 left off, with players repairing their relationship with Sophie with the help of old characters like Daisy. The consequences, both positive and negative, of Season 1's decisions that alter the character are the central focus of Season 2. The plot gains depth and respects the player's past experiences.
The protagonist has reached a crossroads in Sunville and must deal with the fallout from their past choices.
You are transported back to the sleepy little village from where you started, a place you believed you had left behind for good. In addition to new characters, our protagonist deepens his connections with returning ones this season, since some of the former are now willing to show their true colors. In addition to pursuing romantic encounters, you'll have to deal with secret affairs, tease rivalries, and discover those tantalizing "what if" situations. The plot, however, becomes much more interesting at the end of the first half.
At its core, the Rabbit/Mouse mechanism remains, letting players direct encounters and acquire special character designs to further personalize the plot. Maintaining the same high standard as the pilot, the animations feature intricate, close-up shots. Returning with the ability to choose various views inside H-scenes, the Flying Camera feature keeps your control and interaction intact. The passionate sequences are given even more life and energy by the reappearance of the Love bar mechanics.
MILFs of Sunville - Season 2 plunging you into a vortex of hot drama, flirty tension, and scorching shocks is every bit as exciting as Season 1, which was all about sensually exploring Sunville. Those who enjoyed the first season and are into adult visual novels will have a blast trying to figure out all the interconnected connections and how they work. For those who like adult visual novels with a strong emphasis on player agency, this is an easy choice. Sunville will have much more as the devs continue to add content and improvements.
Oceanlust: Erotic Descent
Isn't it something you've always wanted to do: go into a submarine, explore the ruins of the Titanic, and get close to a beautiful woman? Oceanlust: Erotic Descent is just that. It's a short visual novel, and it's somewhat based on an actual incident that took place in real life two years ago. The developer has surely taken several creative liberties that might affect the submersible's passengers' final destiny.
You encounter a wealthy Instagram influencer on your way to board the submersible, which is clearly not the Titan. Together with her, you, some technical staff, and the quirky CEO of SafeXpedition are going on a tour to the Titani-I mean Gigantic incident. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this small game.
The artwork in the backdrop is just incredible, and the text made me laugh out loud. It's obvious the developer enjoyed themselves and gave it their all when producing this.
This is a straightforward tale. The story might have been more captivating. The steamy sequences are well worth the wait, even when they arrive late. Expect nothing too racy, however. Mari, the main protagonist, is absolutely gorgeous and charming, with sensual sequences that are truly memorable. One of the most sensible things to do when touring the Gigantic is to forego using a condom.
The game is decent for the price; however, it is a little short. Due to the game's length, there is a shortage of explicit content. But it was definitely worth the time and money I spent on it since I enjoyed it for more than an hour.
NTR Office
Inspired by role-playing games, NTR Office is a visual novel with an RPG twist. You take control of a desperate salaryman in NTR Office, and begin with the backing of two ladies, but guys seeking power quickly figure out how to take advantage of them. The game centers on female protagonists, and the plot and sexual material take center stage, rather than the gameplay.
As the story unfolds, it focuses on her dilemma as she is put in a tough position and tries to remain faithful and honest. Yui Saijo, the protagonist's girlfriend, and Shiho Takagi, his childhood buddy and a tomboy, both fall victim to blackmail and wind up in the hands of other guys. This compels them to engage in sexual relations while Sasaki Tatsuya is behind bars.
The plot revolves around her journey towards either achieving freedom or justice, or becoming the person she fears she will become.
The gameplay is simple; this title doesn't offer much from a gamer's perspective. You won't uncover many hidden events that add depth to this game; in fact, you'll find most of them at the workplace, and there aren't any compelling reasons to go exploring. The scenes are of high quality. Particularly eye-catching are the anime-style artwork and the lovely heroine designs, with their ample busts.
Whether you're a fan of NTR or not, you're sure to find something to your liking in this game. Despite some rough spots in the modeling, voice acting is solid, and the animations are smooth and show penetration. With its wonderful artwork, short length, and wide appeal, this game really does have something for everyone. Strongly recommended, particularly for fans of NTR and Tomboy Supremacy!
My Bimbo Dream - Season 1
My Bimbo Dream - Season 1 is one of those AVNs that deftly touches the forbidden themes without sacrificing the genre's narrative framework. The game explores the controversial topics of corruption and power dynamics and manages to find an ideal balance between linearity and purpose. What started as a surface-level fetish clicker takes a deeper turn, with meaningful paths and writing that complement the plot and subject matter.
My Bimbo Dream's plot gets off to a great start. The protagonist's landlady is willing to compromise her moral convictions to experience desire. Part of her desire to enter a story competition stems from her teenage years and from her lack of physical encounters. The plot goes in a new direction, concentrating more on morbidity and depravity, which is either good or bad, depending on how you view things.
The narrative thickens with the addition of other girls, including obsessive best friends and ex-lover chances for love, desire, and seduction.
The scenes are of high quality. They have excellent designs and realistic renderings of the females. In addition, the first-person erotica is enhanced by realistic animations that are neither lengthy nor complicated. You can't overlook the characters' textures, even if the motions looked great. The skin texture is really realistic and aesthetically beautiful, whether it's dry or wet. A major letdown is the poor audio quality of the scenes. The sensual sound effects are subpar, and there is no voice acting.
There are a total of 122 animated sexual encounters in this game, albeit most of them are just variants with different male protagonists, places, etc. Still, it's a huge amount that should be more than enough material for several evening sessions. Considering the price, the abundance of content, the plot, the choices, and the stunning animations and sound effects, My Bimbo Dream - Season 1 really caught me off guard, but in the most unexpected conceivable manner. The game makes you seem like you're earning the right to corrupt Sue, whether it's with love or money.
Jerez's Arena III
Jerez's Arena III is an interesting eroge-style, dark-fantasy, turn-based role-playing game. For someone who has enjoyed the first two Jerez's Arena games, this third installment is head and shoulders beyond the others. The combat is satisfyingly fast-paced, featuring directional controls and many quick-time events (QTEs) that activate during crucial situations, ambushes, and training.
The story of Oretti, who transforms from an optimistic young lady into a rebel, is told with unexpected emotional weight. You control the fox-girl slave Oretti as she goes through a series of humiliations, rebellions, and eventual submissions. The primary goals of Jerez's Arena Ⅲ are to acquire money and train Oretti for battles. In her fight for survival in the Shadow District, traditional JRPG combat combines with a branching corruption system, making each choice feel more consequential.
Visually, Jerez's Arena III is a delight: gorgeous artwork, well-developed characters, and an excellent score that amplifies the game's emotional and sensual moments.
Without a doubt, it ranks among the top dark RPGs I've played lately because of its branching routes, excellent narrative, and satisfying replay possibilities. With over 40 H-CGs (including animated ones), an uncensored experience, and a daily system based on Action Points, there's a lot of material for the price. There are many places and locales to explore on this map, each with its own unique people, side occupations, and paths to events.
Although not everyone will like it, Jerez Arena III is one of the best H games of the year for its surprisingly solid storytelling and entertaining gameplay. The game's strong replay value stems from its well-designed characters, many branching paths determined by player decisions, several endings, and responsive combat mechanics. Fans seeking an erotic turn-based role-playing game with several paths and plenty of replay value should check this one out!
Milfy Way: Space Orgasm

Thot on Trial
Thot on Trial - Season 1 is an AVN about a married couple who face unforeseen difficulties that threaten to strain their relationship. The game combines themes of NTR and corruption with a growth based on choices, allowing you to guide each protagonist towards either loyalty or desire. The game follows a logical progression in which your choices determine the extent of corruption or cuckoldry, as well as the animated scenes you encounter.

The visuals are appealing, as with previous games from Inceton Games, even if they aren't the most lifelike available. Decent visuals, smooth animations, and a mix of scripted and choice-dependent situations all work together to keep the action moving at a steady pace.
Without a doubt, Thot on Trial is intriguing. Even though the plot isn't as good as in Inceton Games' Summer with Mia, it's much above par for Steam's decent AVNs. If you're ok with NTR, sharing, and cuckolding, then you'll love the intense and well-done sex scenes.
U4iA - Season 1
U4iA - Season 1 comes from the studio behind the popular AVN, Leap of Faith. This new series features passionate encounters, interesting female characters, surprising plot twists, and riveting scenes—all thanks to excellent writing. A Caribbean island serves as the backdrop for this whimsical romance that deftly weaves together themes of pain, abduction, and intrigue.
With four episodes that lay the groundwork without resolving anything, Season 1 moves at an easy pace, which both pacifies viewers and fosters an emotional connection to the characters. I, however, had a hard time getting into this game until episode 4. Staying away from spoilers, the story's main narrative unfolds for quite some time, and once you reach episode 4, you finally start to uncover some of its mysteries. The whole season could be frustrating or even tedious for someone hoping for a fast experience.
The protagonist, who comes from an affluent but violent family, seeks a new beginning on Euphoria. You have the option to play in either a free-roam or story mode. You get to decide the protagonist's traits at particular points during the game. Each of the two personality types begins with a unique set of stats.
Depending on your character's characteristics and personality, you'll unlock new abilities and have new interactions.
The visuals in U4iA - Season 1 are sleek and modern; the female characters are sexy, the male characters are dashing, and the surroundings are beautifully drawn. There is a wide variety of well-executed animations and steamy sex scenes. Although the game's visuals are top-notch, I would have liked more sound effects, especially during intimate scenes. So, the lack of sound might make it seem non-erotic to many.
What surprised me most was that the devs incorporated playable characters from previous games, allowing us to engage with them in various ways. Overall, U4ia is a fantastic first installment in a new series that features beautiful renderings, incredible models used in animations, and a decent plot. If you're looking for a continuation of Leap of Faith, then U4iA - Season 1—is a worthy successor.
Sex of Thrones
Sex of Thrones combines elements of medieval fantasy, political intrigue, and interactive storytelling in a world where ambition and desire determine fate. An homage to "Game of Thrones," this game has you thwarting local intrigues while trying to win over different lords. Within a fictional kingdom where two powerful queens are vying for dominion, you find yourself at the heart of a battle that brings together romance, betrayal, and the results of your decisions.
Every choice in the game's setting adds a new layer of moral complexity and story twists. Your character's quest to stand by Lilian as they navigate a complicated web of sexual and political difficulties. Whether you choose to remain loyal to Lilian or seek your own route to power, you must manage your connections and goals. The story is well-woven with sensual sequences. There aren't many options that may change the story or the cutscenes in any significant way; the story is quite straightforward.
However, the story is made richer by the hidden agendas and goals of each individual. You'll encounter obstacles and have chances to influence the destiny of the realm; your decisions will determine one of many possible endings. With its fully generated 3D character models and locations, Sex of Thrones visually captures the grandeur and intensity of a medieval fantasy realm.
Everyone will like the game for many reasons, but the sex scenes, beautiful women, and numerous sex scenes are the main draws.
Sex of Thrones tries to go beyond its seductive façade to deliver an unexpectedly controversial experience for fans of interactive fiction that blends romance, ambition, and consequence in a medieval setting. Although the setting and idea are solid, the story might seem underdeveloped at times due to the very little buildup for each encounter. Then again, for an AVN, that's too much to ask at this price. Although it will not wow genre fans, Sex of Thrones shows how player choice can drive a story that smoothly blends romance, fantasy, and social drama.
Shale Hill Secrets
You play the role of a speechless IT student in Shale Hill Secrets who finds a powerful spyware program and has access to everyone's digital secrets. As you delve into student life, reconnect with old acquaintances, and reveal hidden facts, you'll have to decide whether to take care of your friends or take advantage of them. The innocent pursuit of knowledge swiftly devolves into a deadly vortex of plots, criminals, and ethical dilemmas.
There are occasional mature themes in the adventure game Shale Hill Secrets. While it does have certain adventure-game elements, it is not like the other AVN games. Playing through all 17 chapters—each of which clocks in at over an hour—will need your undivided attention. The protagonist, driven by emotions and exploring adult themes in the first chapters, evolves as the story progresses.
After you install an unknown hacking application on your computer, the real hook begins: you may access people's private digital lives by providing their complete names. Whether you choose to build trust or manipulate them is totally up to you, and your decisions will have real-life impacts.
One notable aspect of SHALE HILL SECRETS is its distinctive user interface.
The game has not only crucial moments but also looping animations you must go through, along with sound effects like water sounds, sighs, and more. The scenes become much more sensual as a result. The presentation makes clear use of style. This game isn't aiming for a cinematic experience; don't expect many dynamic backdrops. The majority of scenes in a story unfold against a static backdrop, with characters in the foreground.
Not everyone will like Shale Hill Secrets. There are many plot points at once, and the novel is dense with words. The storyline, in general, may seem insane, has several major holes in its logic, and branches off into tangents that have little to do with the tale. The story's multiple endings might fail to satisfy and leave you wanting more. Perhaps that's a good thing.
Just Date Vegan
Just Date Vegan is a simple dating simulation, but it's quite enjoyable and surprisingly good quality. The game puts you on a date with a lovely girl you met on a mobile app, and the date can go either way depending on your decisions; it can be happy, hot, a mix of the two, or even somewhat sad.
As a dating simulator, the point of the game is to play through the same date multiple times to see what happens (sex scenes) or to pick the alternatives that work best for you. It would be to see the addition of backtracking choices, the ability to skip conversations, and the ability to color-code text that has already been seen. These features are absolutely necessary for anyone to enjoy story-replaying games.
Although the visual style could turn off some viewers, it enhances the narrative and the scenarios.
There isn't much wordiness that makes getting to the game's explicit content feel like a hassle, and the writing is simple yet interesting enough to hold your attention. The animations are top-notch; they're fluid and incredibly enjoyable to see. She's very sweet and entertaining to see in action, and Lily's design is absolutely charming! Plus, her voice is incredibly realistic, taking the immersion to a whole new level.
In sum, the visual novel is brief, but it's worth the price. If you're seeking something simple, inexpensive, and fast to get your hands on, this isn't a bad decision. Just keep in mind that there are only three possible endings, and depending on how fast you read, you might see them all in an hour of gameplay. The developers deserve praise for making a game that is both touching and enjoyable.
Mirai's Midnight Stream
Mirai's Midnight Stream is a management sim with mature content that helps you grow emotionally. It is only available for a short period. The game lets you have a focused, satisfying experience by managing stats correctly, making simple schedules, and building character bonds. Every day, you'll need to make a smart decision about what to do with her: curb her shame, train her desire, or allow her to relax so she doesn't have a breakdown.
You may have thought your job was over after vanquishing the fabled two-tailed fox Kanou Mirai. You offer to help her reclaim her power via adult streaming after realizing she's lost it due to a lack of love. As the protagonist guides her, she plans to host pornographic live streams in the hopes of attracting fans who would assist her in channeling her sexual energy back into her full force so that she may confront the protagonist once again. This is because, given her present condition of weakness, the heroine does not find victory fulfilling.
You have to deal with Mirai's desires, wants, stress, and shame for 49 days throughout the campaign. Your selections will influence which of the fifteen alternative endings you get. Season 4 adds a ton of locations to explore, things to uncover, and mini-games set in a mystical setting that will put you in the spirit of the game, making this an even better experience than its predecessor.
The game's linear opening continues the storyline that ended on a cliffhanger in season 3, when the protagonist was captured by the "overlord" who had taken Lily's body. In light of this, our hero keeps up with his studies at the school while also planning his strategy to confront the "overlord" by training and enlisting friends. The game features multiple subplots, but they are all fairly simplistic and focus on adult content, so the dialogue lacks depth and, at times, isn't very enjoyable to read.
There are two playable modes in this game, as in previous installments. One is the classic visual novel mode, which has a linear story with limited exploration and choices. The other is the more dynamic, free-form sandbox mode, where you can explore the school and city at your leisure, order events as you like, and even prioritize the girl you like.
The game features a variety of witches and sensual creatures, each with its own race, skin color, and torso size, so players can choose what they want most.
The sex scenes look great, with slick animations, camera changes, and close-ups, but the absence of vocal acting is a problem. Sofia's Dark Fantasies - Episode 1
Sofia's Dark Fantasies is a brave entry into the AVN genre, with a significant emphasis on realism that relies heavily on exaggerating its main characters. The game prioritizes excellent graphics, focusing on a beautiful and accomplished influencer in her thirties, who suffers from sexual unhappiness. She has no choice except to engage in her "dark" fantasies in pursuit of sensual bliss.

A lot of work went into the animations, and they are generally fluid. Instead of stumbling into the same old formulas that plague many adult VNs, this one seems new, refined, and full of promise. Although the standard 3D graphics are decent, the absence of sexual motions makes it feel a bit static.
The promises made by Sofia's Dark Fantasies may not be fully realized in the game. Still, given the developers' active efforts to improve it, the coming chapters might deliver a blast.
Since the first chapter is a bit text-heavy, some might find the game's plot a bit bland and uninteresting, making it hard to get into. If the developers take the community feedback into account, this game can be among the most impressive examples of AVN excellence.
