Farming resources are essential to survival and advancement in Dune: Awakening, and Aluminum is one of the most valuable resources you can farm. This guide will help you efficiently farm Aluminum as a solo or team player.

Equipment Requirements

You'll need a Buggy to start your Aluminum farming operation in Dune: Awakening. Unlike other vehicles, though, the Buggy can't be stored in the Vehicle Storage Device, so you're left with two ways of traveling.

You can drive it to your farm locations or disassemble the entire vehicle and reconstruct it where you'd prefer to mine. If you opt for the dismantling method, remember to carry enough fuel for reassembly.

Optimal Base Location

Your Base location will determine the efficiency of your farm in Dune: Awakening. The most preferred area would be the Western Vermillius Gap, as it offers relatively easy access to most Aluminum deposits. The primary aluminum deposits are in the Eastern Shield area.

The area also has Cobalt deposits and Erythrite Crystals beneath the rift systems. Placing your base near these resource sites will significantly decrease travel time and increase your overall farming yield.

Drive your Buggy across the Western Vermillius Gap using the Buggy, and make sure you have a Cutteray for your Buggy.

Useful Techniques

First, all the Aluminum Nodes in the eastern shield area should be located. When you park your Buggy on one side of a Resource Node, you must toggle between the driver seat and turret position.

Press and hold the appropriate button to move to the turret position on the right-hand side of your vehicle. This position precisely positions the turret's direction at an Aluminum node and starts extraction. The mining mechanism will continue to operate automatically.

Each node typically yields approximately 175 units of Aluminum Ore in Dune: Awakening. After mining a node, return to the driver's seat and proceed to the following location.

One person can maintain turret operation for team players while another handles vehicle navigation, creating a more efficient mining workflow. However, solo players can easily manage both functions by alternating between positions.

Storing and Processing

After mining, you will possess around 4,166 units of aluminum ore in your Buggy inventory and another 200 units in your player stock for around 4,400 units of raw aluminum ore, given you have the MK5 Buggy.

Go to your home base to store your resources.

Ensure you have a few Big Containers at your home base in Dune: Awakening. Using the top section of your inventory, transfer your harvested Ore from the Buggy into the containers.

Refining the Ore

After you've deposited your raw Ore, go to your Medium Refinery for refining. A regular, successful farm cycle that nets you about 4,400 units of Ore will net you about 575 Aluminum Ingots.
