This guide shows where to find COG Tags in Act 2 of Gears of War. These items can be easy to miss when you're fighting or moving through the game, so you need to pay close attention to your surroundings.

The following sections detail the exact locations and methods for obtaining each COG Tag in the specified chapters in Gears of War: Reloaded.

Chapter: Tick Tick Boom

During this chapter, your squad will split into two separate paths before regrouping later. After reuniting with your teammates, proceed to the designated building.

Navigate down the staircase that leads to the center of the room. The COG Tags can be found in this central area once you reach the bottom of the stairs.

Chapter: Grist - Factory Room

You will encounter a distinctive factory-style room that serves as a valuable landmark for navigation. This area contains several Wretches that will attack as you progress through the space in Gears of War: Reloaded.

The combat encounters here are manageable even on higher difficulty settings.

After moving outside and using the catwalks to traverse the area, descend the stairs while remaining alert for additional Wretches positioned above your location.

The COG Tags are located beneath the staircase structure. These collectibles require careful observation, as they can be easily missed when your attention is focused on combat situations or other environmental hazards.

Chapter: Grist - Stranded Settlement

Continue up a small staircase marked by two overhead arches. On your right side, you will observe the Stranded Settlement, which appears as a notable point of interest in Gears of War: Reloaded.

Don't go right up to this settlement right away, because that will start a cutscene.

Find the COG Tags that are across the street from the settlement before starting the cutscene.

Get these things first so you don't miss them when the story moves on automatically once you start the cutscene.

Subchapter: Lethal Dusk - Propane Path

You need to ignite the Propane Tanks in this section to light them up and create a visible trail to follow. The lit tanks provide the light needed to move forward securely in the dark in Gears of War: Reloaded.

At the end of the illuminated road, instead of turning right as the path suggests, look toward the left side.

You will find a small shack marked with a Crimson Omen symbol. Shoot the Propane Tank near this structure, then quickly sprint into the shack to retrieve the COG Tags. Speed is crucial for this collection since the lighting effect is temporary.

Subchapter: Lethal Dusk - Light Guidance Section

You will reach an area where you must use artificial lighting to guide a teammate across a dangerous street. In cooperative play, coordinate with your partner to accomplish this task in Gears of War: Reloaded.

In single-player mode, you will need to manage the lighting mechanism yourself.

Position yourself in the building and operate the light source. Instead of directing the light straight ahead, angle it toward the left side of the area.

The light beam will illuminate the COG Tags located near a car in that direction. Once the tags are visible, sprint directly toward them while maintaining your run speed. The Kryll will not attack you as long as you continue running and reach the collectible quickly.

Chapter: Dark Labyrinth

Navigate through the corridor system, where you will face attacks from multiple Wretches. After clearing these enemies and exiting the hallway area, examine the right side of your path. You will notice a car bearing the Crimson Omen marking.

The COG Tags are positioned on the ground in the immediate vicinity of this marked vehicle. Collect these items before proceeding to the gas station in Gears of War: Reloaded.
