Gears of War: Reloaded Guide | Act 5 COG Tags Locations

This guide covers the locations of all COG tags in Act V of Gears of War, which presents the final stretch of your collectible hunt with only six items to discover in Act V of Gears of War: Reloaded.

COG Tag #28 - Comedy of Errors

You'll begin this chapter by using a Red Valve to gain access to the next area. Once you've operated the valve, proceed through the gate on the opposite side from where you initially entered the area. Your COG tag will be waiting for you in this section.

COG Tag #29 - Window Shopping

During the early portion of the Window Shopping subchapter, you'll make your way up through a parking garage structure. This path leads you into a staircase area where the story expects you to ascend to continue your progress in Gears of War: Reloaded.

However, you need to go against this expectation and head downward instead. At the bottom of the stairs, you'll discover the COG tag located at what appears to be a dead end. Collect it before returning to follow the intended story path upward.

COG Tag #30 - Jurassic Proportions

The "Jurassic Proportions" chapter presents a unique challenge since its COG tag is hidden during an active boss encounter in Gears of War: Judgment.

When the boss battle begins, you need to act quickly and sprint directly toward the rear of the combat area. Behind some concrete blocks at the back end, you'll find the COG tag. You can retrieve this collectible even on Insane difficulty by running straight to it at the start of the fight.

COG Tag #31 - Train Wreck

The Train Wreck chapter serves as the final level, containing collectibles and houses three COG tags within its passenger train cars in Gears of War: Reloaded.

For this first COG tag, enter the initial passenger train car and immediately look to your left after passing through the door. The COG tag lies on the ground in this left-hand area. You should wait for a brief radio transmission to conclude before collecting the item.

COG Tag #32 - Train Wreck

After completing a small boss encounter, you'll reach a train car equipped with two Gatling Guns mounted on its roof in Gears of War: Reloaded.

Enter this car through the left-side door and observe the Crimson Omen marking. While a green button at the far end provides an exit to the opposite side, you should ignore it for now. Instead, locate and collect the COG tag, which is positioned on the right side of this car.

COG Tag #33 - Train Wreck

For the final COG tag, you'll exit another train car and encounter a green button mechanism that releases large tanks when activated in Gears of War: Reloaded.

After handling this objective, move forward until you spot the Crimson Omen symbol on the left side of your path. Don't proceed directly to the next train car, as this action triggers a cutscene that prevents you from backtracking. 

Instead, turn left and navigate around the area where you'll discover some Frag Grenades. Continue exploring until you find a door you can unlock, which leads to the location of your final COG tag in Gears of War: Reloaded.
