The Umbral Flames Build maximizes your magical powers through different combat styles.

This guide will help you use your special abilities while maintaining optimal magick management across various weapons in Hades II.

Hades II Guide, The Umbral Flames Build

Aspect of Melinoë

When using the Aspect of Melinoë, your general approach is to spam your Omega Special ability non-stop. In order to do so, you must prioritize making Flutter Flourish from Aphrodite as your highest priority, as it buffs your special attacks by dealing increased damage to enemies nearby.

Also, don't miss picking up Heart Breaker from Aphrodite, which makes a Heartthrob for free whenever you spend 40 Magick. To get the most out of this synergy, find Sunny Disposition, an Aphrodite and Apollo two-boon trait that bumps up Heartthrob generation whenever you make them in Hades II.

Your magick regen now plays a key role in keeping up this spam-mech playstyle, so ascend any boons that fill up your magical energy.

As for hammer upgrades, Hidden Helix is helpful since it creates bonus projectiles from your special attacks. Clean Helix, on the other hand, provides excellent utility through its ability to enhance your Omega Special channeling speed by 20% and lower its Magick cost by 10 points in Hades II.

Other viable options include Whirling Coil, which accelerates your Omega Special projectile orbit speed by 40%, or Rising Coil, which enlarges your specials and increases their damage by up to 25% based on their active duration.

Aspect of Moros

The Aspect of Moros in Hades II requires a different tactical approach where you begin each encounter by activating your Omega Special, then transition into spamming Omega Attacks to trigger the Fine Line effect consistently.

This strategy demands substantial Magick reserves, with 200 or more points typically sufficient to defeat any boss encounter.

Your boon selection should emphasize Nova Strike from Apollo, which expands your attack damage across a larger area.

For special enhancement, choose either Ice Flourish from Demeter to increase damage and inflict Freeze status, or Sworn Flourish from Hera for enhanced damage with Hitch affliction.

The Born Gain boon from Hera provides exceptional sustainability by restoring all your Magick when you become Prime after depleting your reserves. Remember that Fine Line creates damaging fissures along extended lines but increases Magick consumption by 15 points per use in Hades II.

For hammer modifications, Clean Candle dramatically improves your Omega Attack efficiency by reducing channeling time by 50% and decreasing Magick cost by 1 point.

Hidden Helix remains valuable for additional projectiles, while Mega Spark extends your attack range by 20% and boosts damage by 30%.

Aspect of Eos

When using the Aspect of Eos, your combat sequence begins with your Omega Attack, followed by transitioning into regular Special or Omega Special abilities to enable your Daybreaker to replicate these actions.

Do regular attacks throughout your rotation to ensure enemies receive Blitz effects in Hades II.

Your boon priorities should include Heaven Strike from Zeus to inflict Blitz status with your attacks, and Wave Flourish from Poseidon to create splash effects that knock enemies away from your specials.

Arc Flash from Zeus provides immediate Blitz activation from Omega Moves while strengthening their effects. Combine this with Slippery Slope from Poseidon to add Froth status to your splash effects and increase Froth damage in Hades II.

The dual boon Killer Current from Zeus and Poseidon significantly amplifies lightning damage against Froth-afflicted enemies.

For hammer upgrades, Triple Comet adds two additional projectiles to your special attacks, while Hidden Helix provides the standard bonus projectile alternative.

Whirling Coil accelerates your Omega Special projectile orbit by 40%, and Clean Helix offers the familiar channeling speed and Magick cost improvements.

Aspect of Supay

The Aspect of Supay requires an aggressive close-range approach where you initiate with your Omega Attack, then maintain constant movement by sprinting around enemies to apply both Special and Rush boon effects simultaneously.

Your boon selection should feature Wave Strike from Poseidon to create splash effects that knock enemies away from your attacks, and Heaven Flourish from Zeus to inflict Blitz status through your specials in Hades II.

Heat Rush from Hestia becomes essential for this aggressive playstyle, as it creates cinder trails during sprinting while reducing any burning damage you receive to just 1 point.

Slippery Slope from Poseidon enhances your splash effects by adding Froth affliction and increasing Froth damage output.

For hammer modifications, you can choose between Hidden Helix for bonus projectiles or Triple Comet for two additional projectiles from your special attacks, depending on your preferred projectile density and combat style in Hades II.
