Hades II Guide | How to Beat Typhon
Here's a guide on how to beat Typhon in Hades II.

You've climbed to the top tooth and nail, spent. You've looked down upon Olympus, and now Typhon, the monster-making father, stands before you like a nightmare creature. Every strike you make is carving away at the titan, and every gasp he takes holds terror promised.

However, this fight isn't about brute force—it's about patience, rhythm, and respect for the telegraphs. If you can read him, this fight is a dance rather than a slaughter.
In this guide, I will help you through the Typhon fight in Hades II.
The moment the arena comes in, Typhon will be bringing several attacks into play—attacks you can read if you watch carefully. His chin slam is probably his most lethal when you're close to him. His jaw sweeps up, a red strobe sweeps across his tusks, and then he crashes down.
That's your cue: don't try to iframes or perfect parries—dash away. The hitbox is sloppy, inconsistent, and not worth gambling with. Once you've escaped, there's often a window to press in and deal damage before he resets.
He will call on cyclones.
He also likes to call up cyclones. You'll notice a lower red flash on his chin or the lower part of his face, then the wind blows through the arena, and several cyclones whirl out from it. Once they're whirling, the gusts blow you in one direction, and your usual movement feels sloppy.
The trick is to lure them so they cluster together, then head over to the other side of the arena when things have calmed down.
And then, of course, there is the big eye: he fires it; it hits and explodes, expelling smaller projectiles in a cone. A red glow in the eye warns you. Don't linger in the explosion radius—or you'll get hit by the shrapnel.
He can also spew out several smaller, lesser eyes that explode into smaller projectiles. It can become bullet hell, but there's never a hidden trick—just get into a quiet corner, observe their curves, and avoid. Stay mobile.
One of the more theatrical attacks is the tongue-laser swipe. The tongue slices across the arena, firing a beam you need to dodge out of your way. The humorous catch: the tongue itself won't hit you—only the laser. So standing simply right in front of Typhon is safer than it looks, as long as you're prepared to dodge the beam when it comes.

Once you whittle down enough of his health (you won't see a health bar initially), you unlock Phase Two. In this phase, Typhon vanishes into a storm, impenetrable, and blankets the arena with eggs. If no one interferes with those eggs for ten seconds, they hatch out into high-powered elites—hounds, lurkers, horrors, and other nasty beasts.
Your task? Eliminate those eggs in a hurry. But the surprise: as you hunt eggs, he'll crash down with his tail or hand, and shockwaves will roll through the floor. If you tunnel vision eggs and ignore his warning signs, you'll get eaten by damage when you're not expecting it. So split your brain: have half your eyes on eggs and half watching for his crashing limbs.
Once eggs are taken out or hatched, Typhon appears, and we start Phase Three. Zeus himself rushes in and knocks Typhon out for about fifteen seconds—his body is a target, his snakey tongue is immobile, and the field allows you to spam free attacks.
You don't necessarily have to feel obligated to spam every single big cooldown at once. However, that's a time to calmly chip away at the damage, rather than necessarily trying to max it out. Typhon remains healthy afterwards, and you'll want to have resources left over for what's remaining.
And finally, the final act: Phase Four. Typhon returns with renewed ferocity. All is amplified for risk. His strikes do double damage. The chin slam is faster. The tongue laser can now finish with a swipe. His eyeballs now fire more projectiles.
And now step in new dangers: barbed tentacles burst out at random places on the floor—do a circle swipe going bottom to middle to top. They're not awful people, but piling them on top of his storm projectiles can be overwhelming.
There's some fight strategy that's been passed along from other players, which is great to know. Many people highly recommend keeping your chin up as much as you can. The reason: when he can use the chin slam, the red flash engages, and you run left or right from there.

Being under his face is the safest since most of his attacks are projectiles.
Since most of his projectile attacks shoot out, being under his face will generally keep you safe. Also, during phase transitions, he is invincible —don't spend your strong cooldowns when he disappears into the storm.
According to player testing, his health totals are separated by phase—around 12,500 in Phase One, 15,000 in Phase Two, 12,500 again in Phase Three, and around 25,000 in Phase Four—giving an overall total of around 65,000 health. Each stage, thus, counts and must be respected individually.
Weapon and trait choice are also crucial. Some aspects are clutch in a big way: the Blade with the Artemis Aspect lets you disregard chin slams, Typhon's most deadly attack. The Staff with the Momus Aspect is praised for raw damage.
The Skull with the Persephone Aspect is also very sought after because its special gives invulnerability for a few seconds, and you can skip punishing phases outright.
A few more subtle tips from community experience are worth remembering. Typhon's health bar is hidden early, so don't expect to watch a gauge slide—you have to learn from his visual state changes, like eye cracks and lightning scars, to recognize when you've passed thresholds.
And during egg phases, he'll often toss more projectiles, so leaving yourself vulnerable while clearing eggs is a classic trap.
So imagine this in your head while you fight: you're under his chin, watching his jaw flash red. You dash out, he misses, and you dart in to chip him up. When the wind howls and cyclones blow, you pause or change, waiting for the whirl to blow by.
When eggs bloom in the storm, you shatter them, then duck a tail smash, then back into chipping. When Zeus bolts in, you breathe—do not yet overextend. And when he comes back for the final storm? You remain tight, precise. Each dodge is important. Each cooldown must be timed. You do not roll him over—you wear him down.

By the time you're through with him, Typhon can feel like a never-ending nightmare. He's merciless. But when you get his claws inside your head, you're no longer reacting—you're dictating. You bait him into your space, coax him into mistakes, and grind him down until his hideous body crashes to the ground.
A few clutch dodges, a strategically timed dash, and at last, he falls. Now you can get down and claim the Void Lens.
