In Hades 2, Keepsakes are items you equip before a run to gain bonuses affecting combat and exploration. They are obtained by giving Nectar to characters and can be upgraded. This guide covers available Keepsakes and how to get and utilize them effectively throughout Hades II.

Starter Keepsakes

You can get the Silver Wheel from Hecate, granting 100 magic for the night, especially useful for magic-focused builds, though often replaced later. The Knuckle Bones from Odysseus reduce Guardian’s health by 15% and decrease damage taken by 10%, offering some reasonable assistance during boss fights.

When your health drops to zero, Schelemeus Luckier Tooth heals you back to 101 once every night. This is helpful early in the game. When you leave a place, Dora's Ghost Onion fully restores your health, up to 100 health per night. This gives you extra healing during runs. Nemesis' Evil Eye does 30% more damage to the last monster you beat, which can help you in some boss fights in Hades II.

Utility and Special Effect Keepsakes

The Gold Purse from Charon provides extra money, especially useful for builds focused on buying boons or upgrades, like Poseidon’s money-themed boons. The Engraved Pin from Moros puts you in a doomed state when reaching zero health during an encounter. You become invincible but must kill all enemies within ten seconds or die in Hades II.

Additionally, if it works, it heals 60 health points. Because of its tight conditions, it is riskier than Luckier Tooth. You deal 1% more damage after each battle with the Discordant Bell from Eris, but you also take 1% more damage. It helps if you want to dodge hits and scale damage, especially when the Lovers Arcana card has effects that negate damage.

The Metallic Droplet from Hermes increases movement, attack, and channeling speeds by 20% for 250 seconds. Upgraded versions extend duration and enhance speed boosts, pairing well with speed-focused weapons for faster runs in Hades II.

High-Risk and Conditional Keepsakes

The White Antler from Artemis grants a 30% critical hit increase for the next regen, but caps health at 30, unaffected by upgrades like Centaur Hearts. Best for damage-minimizing builds, it requires precise play.

The Moon Beam from Selene unlocks the Path of Stars, with five extra upgrades, ideal for hex-focused builds but limited for general use. The Fig Leaf from Dionysus makes one encounter in three regions free of enemies for the night, offering breaks from combat during challenging runs or high fear levels in Hades II.

Armor and Healing Keepsakes

If you already have at least one point of Armor, Arachne’s Silken Sash gives you 30 more. After each place, it adds four more Armor. It works best with Hephaestus Armor builds because Armor adds health.

Narcissus' Aromatic Phial heals you by 20% at pools and turns one random typical buff into a heroic one for the night, which is helpful for long runs.

Boon and Damage-Boosting Keepsakes

Echo's Concave Stone gives you a 75% chance to get a bonus once a night that can be used for extra upgrades. Heracles' Lion Fang does 50% more damage, but it decreases by 5% each time it hits an enemy. This is best used later in a fight against stronger enemies.

The Blackened Fleece from Medea boosts power move damage by 40% after 250 damage taken, suitable for power move-focused builds but requires taking damage first in Hades II.

Arcana and Chaos-Oriented Keepsakes

The Crystal Figurine from Circe activates two random inactive Arcana cards after defeating a Guardian. When paired with the Judgment Arcana card, which triggers additional cards after Guardian fights, you can activate many Arcana cards during the run, impacting your strategy.

The Experimental Hammer from Icarus grants a random Daedalus Hammer for 20 encounters, adding variety to combat strategies as hammer upgrades can change your weapon’s behavior.

The Transcendent Embryo provides a random Chaos blessing every eight encounters, renewing it each time. This offers unpredictable benefits that enhance your run, but are unreliable due to their random nature in Hades II.

God Keepsakes

Olympian gods offer Keepsakes, influencing boons, such as Zeus's Cloud Bangle and others from Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Apollo, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hestia, and Ares.

When you have no death defiance, Athena's Plumed Laurel appears once at night with at least epic-tier boons. It works well with the Strength Arcana card, which gives bonuses when you lack death defiance in Hades II.

Top Non-God Keepsakes

The Lion Fang is a good item to keep because it starts with 50% more power. The Concave Stone helps you get extra good luck quickly. The Evil Eye is used to hurt strong enemies. The Luckier Tooth allows you to stay alive, especially in the early stages of the game. The Fig Leaf sometimes enables you to clear a lot of enemies.

The Discordant Bell does more damage, but it also increases the risk of getting damaged. The Ghost Onion can help alleviate your symptoms. Some Keepsakes, such as the Engraved Pin, the Metallic Droplet, and the Transcendent Embryo, can be used in various situations, while others are more specialized or experimental in Hades II.
