The Gold Digger trophy is one of the simpler trophies in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. You get it by collecting 10,000 Sludgite during Campaign Missions. This is easier than it sounds because Sludgite is the main currency in the game, and you can find it almost everywhere if you stay alert while moving through each map.

Sludgite is the resource you need for weapon upgrades, attachments, and other useful changes. Since it is tied to progression, collecting it often is already worth doing. That also means this trophy can come naturally while you play, especially if you make a habit of looting the map instead of rushing forward.

Where to Find Sludgite

You can find Sludgite in many places. Look inside cars, check buildings, and scan the ground as you move through open areas. It can also appear near trees and along roadsides. It is not a rare resource, so the main trick is simply to keep picking it up whenever you see it instead of leaving it behind.

Watch for Sludgite Trees

One of the best sources is the Sludgite Tree. These usually appear a little off the road, and zombies are often nearby. In some cases, enemies spawn when you get close. These trees hold a lot of Sludgite, so they are always worth stopping for if the area is safe enough to loot.

How to Collect It Faster

When you reach a Sludgite Tree, do not waste time picking up every crystal one by one. Hold Square at the base of the tree and collect the whole cluster much faster. This saves time and makes each stop more efficient, especially in busier sections of a mission where enemies can close in quickly.

How the Trophy Progress Works

The Gold Digger trophy does not require 10,000 Sludgite in a single mission. Your total carries across multiple Campaign Missions. That means 5,000 in one mission and 5,000 in another still counts. As long as the combined total reaches 10,000, the trophy unlocks. So the best approach is simple: search the full map, collect everything you can, and keep doing that from mission to mission.
