The Ancient Temple in Ice Belt is a compact puzzle area in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. In the puzzle area, there are various ice walls that cover scannable mechanisms; kowing your next step is key in order to progress. This guide will explain how.

After making it into the main chamber, where there will be a large statue at the center of the room, you'll be met with several ice walls that cover the circumference of the room. Break all of these frozen ice walls by shooting at them.

Once all of the ice is removed using your Psychic Ability, Scanning some of the objects will reveal Psychic Motes that can be placed in a slot on the statue.

There will be a total of 2 Psychic Motes that you will need to collect by scanning the object behind the iced walls.

After placing both of the Psychic Motes, the statue will move aside, and you will be rewarded with the psychic spider ball.

After acquiring this upgrade, you'll be able to use a magnetic spider ball track in your morph ball form to climb and solve various maze puzzles.

After collecting the power-up, there will also be tracks on the wall that spawn. You'll need to use them to exit the chamber.

To attach to the track, you'll need to hold ZL. It's important that you hold ZL, as letting go will cause you to fall back down.

Some of the paths of the wall will have gaps, and you may be confused about how you jump across them. Simply place bombs in your Morph Ball form, and going over them will cause you to jump facing that direction.

You will want to follow the path all the way across the chamber. Upon reaching the end, you will be able to exit the Ancient Temple Ice Belt area.
