The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Fountain of Tranquility puzzle is pretty short and requires you to have a grasp of environmental cues. Knowing fundamental mechanics like eyeshot and your psychic ability is enough to complete the puzzle to acquire a reward at the top. This guide will explain how to solve it.

Upon entering the puzzle location, you will be met with two fountains, one of them being active, the other switched off.

Manipulating the flow of the fountains is a fundamental aspect of solving the puzzle. Your main objective is to build a staircase to reach higher up.

Start solving the puzzle by using Ice Shot on the fountain on the left, freezing the water in its place. Once the fountain is frozen, you'll want to switch to your Psychic Mode to transfer the Psychic Mote from the fountain on the left to the fountain on the right to activate.

Once the Psychic Mote is pushed, cause the fountain to activate and push the platform up, you'll want to freeze it using Ice Shot once again. After which, a staircase-like platform will have taken shape.

With the fountains frozen, use a double jump to reap your reward at the top. Collecting the shot expansion to complete the puzzle.
