Game Guide by Joy Rahman on Dec 16, 2025
The Falling Labyrinth Shrine Puzzle in Metroid Prime for Beyond requires you to vertically climb a maze-like wall in your Morph Ball form.
It can be a bit confusing at first, but understanding where to go and how to deal with enemies can help you solve this puzzle. This guide will explain how.

To first head to the puzzle, you will need to go down the elevator, which you need to activate by using Thunder Shot on the console.
Once in the arena, there will be a side door next to an entrance. This takes you down a path where you usually fall from the main arena. There are going to be several green crystals scattered around on the floor of the arena.

Breaking all of them will reveal a small path for you to go in. The path can only be accessed using your Morph Ball form. Going inside the hidden section will get you a hidden reward.
Once the reward is collected, head back up to the main arena, where there will be a morph ball slot on the floor of a console.

Use your Psychic Boost to do so, which will reveal a psychic mode on the console. Use the mode to place it at the ceiling. This will activate a maze on the wall of the room.

There are different pathways that you can take to solve the maze. Using the psychic bombs, you will also be able to jump across small gaps in between the tracks of the maze.
At the very end of the track of the maze, in front of a gap, place a Psychic Bomb. Then, keep on moving in the direction that you want to jump to make it across the gap.
There will also be a bunch of Sand Crawlers that can knock you off. To avoid this, you'll want to place Psychic Bombs wherever they're headed. Just one can is enough to take them down.

You'll want to utilize every process mentioned to make your way up, keeping in mind that you can always try different pathways and experiment with what works for you. Once you make up, collect the power-up to complete the Falling Labyrinth Shrine.
