The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Tower 2 Generator puzzle in Vault Forge can be a bit tricky at first, as it requires you to use a mechanism that you might not be familiar with during your initial stages of play.

This guide will explain how you'll be able to use the correct method to progress without getting stuck.

The Tower 2 generator puzzle has a similar pattern to the first tower, but with a new extra step. Like with Tower 1, you'll want first to enter your Morph Ball mode and then enter the right side node socket. After which, you'll want to use two Psychic Bombs to activate the node.

The left node requires a different method, and it's where most people get stuck. It requires you to do a particular interaction in your Morph Ball state using our psychic abilities.

To solve the node, you'll need to enter your morph ball phase and create a psychic bomb. But there is a caveat: instead of dropping it, you'll need to hold ZL to keep the bomb afloat.

Using your psychic mode, you'll want to carefully lift it and maneuver it into the designated node, and then trigger it.

This will cause both of the nodes to be activated, causing the machine to move forward, opening up a route for you to travel on using your Morph Ball form.

There will be a small room on the right-hand side of the tunnel that allows you to seek shelter from the electricity as the tunnel gets electrocuted intermittently. This will continue happening whilst you are on your journey to activate the lightning rod.
