Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Guide | Power Generator Puzzle – Ice Belt

The Power Generator in Ice Belt is an important step in the progression of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. This puzzle requires you to manipulate objects and utilize your Psychic Mode.

Completing these steps in the correct order will restore full power to the area, unlocking the next objectives. This guide will explain how.

To access the Console with the red orb and start the Turbine, you're first required to switch the power on a machine at the bottom of the platform. You'll notice ice blocking the blocking mechanism, which can be destroyed by using Fire Shot. 

The device that turns on the power can be moved by using your Psychic Lasso. You'll want to use your Psychic Lasso twice in order to move it to the opposite direction, a 180-degree shift.

After moving it to the opposite direction, there will be a connector that can be pulled down and connected to the machine.

After connecting, turn into your Morph Ball form and head inside the machinery. Then, use your Morph Ball Bomb. Doing so will enable you to access the console upstairs.

You'll then want to interact with the console, which will initiate the turbine and activate it partially.

Before being fully activated, the turbine will have an opening in the core, which you have to shoot by going into your Psyching Mode, using the control beam. You'll then have to do it the second time to hit another opening to the left and then further right. Doing so will activate the generator. 

Although it is not the most difficult thing to do, it can be very confusing, as instructions tend to be vague.

Completing this task will allow you to further access surrounding areas and allow you to progress through the story in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
