MindsEye Guide | How To Power & Align The Satellite
Here’s a detailed explanation of how to power & align the Satellite in MindsEye
Game Guide by Ornstein on Jun 12, 2025
This guide provides a detailed, step-by-step approach to preparing the Satellite for operation by first achieving precise Capsule alignment and then generating sufficient power via the Solar Panel.
Each stage relies on realistic control inputs—rotating and stabilizing the Capsule, fine-tuning the orientation of the Solar Array, and monitoring energy thresholds—to ensure mission success.
By following the procedures outlined under Aligning the Satellite and Powering the Satellite, operators will master the exact techniques required to deploy and energize the Satellite without reliance on automated systems.
Aligning the Satellite
Rotate the Capsule to align it with the on-screen Triangle, emulating a realistic manual rocket launch procedure. First, position the Capsule so that its center point overlaps the Triangle as closely as possible.
Even when the Capsule appears perfectly centered, minor adjustments are still required. Use the Stabilize button every few seconds to steady the Satellite, preventing it from drifting and making fine rotations more manageable. While the Satellite is stabilized, employ the remaining rotation controls to hone in on absolute precision.
Once the alignment indicator turns blue, back the Capsule away slightly to maintain the correct scope. At this point, the Lock command becomes available—on PlayStation, press R1 to secure alignment. If the indicator fails to turn blue, adjust the rotation angle by small increments or vary the distance until the alignment condition is met.
Powering the Satellite
Upon successful alignment, the Solar Array will deploy automatically. The objective is to raise the energy gauge to 94 percent.
Rotate the Solar Panel in two axes—full 360° spin of the Capsule combined with upward or downward tilting of the Solar Panel—to capture optimal sunlight angles. There is a single precise orientation where the gauge will climb to the required 94 percent threshold.
Begin by spinning the Capsule until the Solar Panel faces the sun’s vector, then tilt the panel back gradually. Monitor the energy readout closely; once the gauge reaches exactly 94 percent, the power transfer is complete, and the mission proceeds automatically.
