The Last Caretaker Guide | How to Complete Where Waters Wait Quest

This guide explains how to progress through the quest Wherewaters Wait after restoring power to the station.

Entering the Quest Area

Once power is restored, the quest Wherewaters Wait becomes available. You enter the door at the station and continue through the hallway until you reach a non-active Robot. A switch in the area can be used to turn on the lights.

Two optional tasks appear. The Save Station allows you to record your progress, and the Heal Station restores your health bar. You connect a cable by pressing the interaction key while aiming at your body. This link lets each station perform its function in The Last Caretaker.

Clearing the Path

To reach the Docking Hangar, you move the objects that block the doorway. You pick up each object and place or throw it aside in any direction until the door can be opened. After clearing the path, you continue through the doorway.

Inside the next area, you either climb the ladder or call the Elevator. The ladders lead to the same destination and may contain items. When you arrive at the upper level, you activate the power switch to gain visibility of the area.

Handling Hostile Unit

You locate a device on the ground. When you approach it, Robot Units appear. You use your melee command to strike them with your Crowbar until they are removed. You then strike the device again, keeping a small distance, because it releases a blast when it breaks in The Last Caretaker.

After removing the device, you open the next door and move the object inside to clear the doorway. You open the final door and step outside. This completes the quest in The Last Caretaker.
