The Last Caretaker Guide | How to Complete Light the Way Home Quest

This guide shows you how to complete the Light The Way Home quest in The Last Caretaker by navigating the hangar, accessing the upper area, repairing the power unit, and restoring electricity to the facility.

Reaching Upper Section

When you enter the hangar, your objective is to reach the section above. You move across the floor, ignore any items for now, and jump over the gap in front of you. 

After crossing, you head toward the nearby door. You slide the door open, which requires no power, and then proceed up the stairs inside in The Last Caretaker.

Accessing Vent Path

At the top of the stairs, you find a locked door due to the lack of power. Next to it is a vent that appears different from the surroundings. You grab the vent cover and shift it aside. Then, you climb onto the crate below and jump into the vent opening. 

You move through the ductwork, pass by the body inside, and reach another vent cover. You push this cover aside as well and continue until you arrive in the room containing the power unit.

Repairing Power Unit

In this room, you locate the damaged power control device that needs to be restored. You access your toolkit either by selecting it directly or pressing the assigned key. You choose the repair tool, which resembles a wrench. 

With the tool equipped, you approach the unit and hold the repair command. Restoring the device requires four Iron. After applying the materials, the power unit becomes functional again, but it still needs an active power source in The Last Caretaker.

Connecting Power Source

To supply electricity, you connect a cable to the Battery Discharge port. You pick up the cable end, walk to one of the battery’s ports, and connect it. 

A Cable Extender is placed beside the equipment, and if you have enough cable available, you can link the extender and the power unit. Your remaining cable length is displayed numerically, showing the number of meters remaining.

You continue connecting the cable until it reaches the power device. Once the connection is complete, you activate the system, restoring power to the area and fulfilling the quest requirement in The Last Caretaker.
