In Winter Burrow, locating the Heavy Key is a required step in Moss’s story mission. Moss explains that Pinesap carried the key during their last outing, leaving Moss unable to open the pantry. You take on the task of recovering the missing key so Moss can continue their routine.

Heavy Key Location

To reach the Heavy Key, you must travel north from Moss’ position and have a Granite Axe. Beginning at Moss’ location ensures you have enough warmth before setting out.

From there, move north into the next zone, then continue northeast along the same route you previously used when collecting the three Snow Fox Fur Tufts in Winter Burrow.

Reaching the Blocked Path

As you progress, you will come across vines blocking the path. An Ant often appears in this spot, so you should deal with it before continuing. After clearing the area, use the Granite Axe to cut the vines, then move north into the next zone.

Collecting the Heavy Key

In this section, a central space is fenced off by tall grass. You can enter through any patch surrounding it. One route is to take the left path, circle upward, and pass through the top patch of grass, which leads into the space containing a skull.

The Heavy Key rests on the ground beside the skull. Pick it up and return to Moss to complete their request in Winter Burrow.
