Overwatch Summer Games Event Starting Next Week

Overwatch has been gaining more momentum for the last several weeks. The release of Wrecking Ball and the end of this season's Overwatch League, which was shown on ESPN and completely sold out the Barclay Center, has generated more notoriety for the acclaimed shooter. Now Blizzard has confirmed that the Summer Games event will return next week.

Since its debut in 2016, the Summer Event is themed after the Summer Olympics. Featuring the unique mode Lucio Ball, which is a 3v3 soccer match using Lucio, and unique skins. Like previous events, players can earn loot boxes to unlock new and older skins featured during 2016 and 2017's Summer Games event.

Overwatch is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
