Pokemon Sword and Shield's Gigantamax evolution allows Pokemon to grow to colossal size, use G-Max move, and gain a statistical advantage. Certain Pokemon will even have an altered look when they Dynamax. With Nintendo showing Generation 1 Pokemon Eevee, Pikachu, Charizard, Butterfree, and Meowth dawning a new look when changing.
Meowth is perhaps one of the more unsettling transformations, with its body stretched out to resemble something out of Attack on Titan along with glowing eyes. In this form, Meowth can use G-Max Gold Rush, which does damage and provides money based on the damage. This version of Mewoth is only available through Mystery Gift until January 15th, 2020.
Gigantamax Pikachu resembles its original design. With Pikachu's tail now fully glowing and a bit fatter. It can use G-Max Volt Crash which can paralyze the Pokemon it hits. This version of Pikachu is available for those with a save file from Pokemon Let's go Pikachu.
Gigantamax Eevee is available for those with Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. This Eevee can use G-Max Cuddle that infatuates the Pokemon. This Eevee also sports a bigger mane than its original design.
Gigantamax Charizard looks incredible. Despite not being a Dragon-type it looks like an ultra-powerful dragon. Able to use G-Max Wildfire that does continuous fire-damage for 4 turns.
Gigantamax Butterfree is absolutely beautiful, almost mystical. With large wings and pollen surrounding the Pokemon. This Butterfree can use G-Max Befuddle that can cause poison, paralyzed, or sleeping along with bug damage.
You can view the images of all these Gigantamax Pokemon below.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will release for Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
