Activision Confirms Crash 4 Support Will Continue Despite Reports

Activision is one of the most infamous and profitable gaming publishers in entertainment. The company best known for Call of Duty is best known for making millions and firing employees despite record profits and providing huge bonuses to executives. So when recent reports of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon developer Toys for Bob were facing layoffs Activision has come in to set the record straight. Confirming Toys for Bob reduction in personnel is not true.

According to an Activision spokesperson speaking to VGC:

“Reports of layoffs at Toys For Bob are incorrect,” they said. “There has not been a reduction in personnel recently at the studio. The development team is operating fully and has a number of full-time job openings at this time.

“The studio is excited to continue supporting Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and more recently provide additional development support to Call of Duty: Warzone.”

This means every studio under Activision is now supporting Call of Duty in some way. This is expected considering that the mobile version, Warzone, and premium editions of Call of Duty make millions in profit. You can't blame Activision for deciding this as the customer is the one who determines where resources are directed. So expect more cheaters and poor servers for the upcoming Call of Duty as the franchise, in general, has major issues. Not to mention balancing problems and paying $70 for an unfinished game that crashes consoles.
