Boulder Dash XL Dashes To Release Date [Screens Also]

Anyway, that intro has nothing at all to do with the fact that today; a release date was announced for Boulder Dash XL. The revamped classic from Kalypso and developed by Catnip Games is rapidly rolling down the hill and will descent upon Xbox Live Arcade on July 13. The PC edition will still have to wait, but for those that can’t hold on, Boulder Dash XL will be 800 Microsoft Points on XBLA. Kalypso also released a few screens to celebrate this occasion.

 

Boulder Dash XL Classic mode makes me smile like a little girl.

 

Boulder Dash XL tries to keep the classic experience alive and in return offers a wide variety of new additions anno 2011 style. Apart from dodging rocks in HD, players will get to enjoy 4 new game modes and will get 150 new caves to discover. My inner infant is roaring right now. Did you know they once had PC’s that had black and yellow screens and worked with pretty much Atari pixels? Yes, I’m that old.
