The development studio behind Days Gone, Bend Studio, simply cannot wait to show fans its upcoming PS5 game. The studio is mainly known for Days Gone, an open-world action-adventure game that was first released in 2019. The game was initially released to mixed reviews by critics, with many fans also taking a few jabs at some of the game's dialogue. It has since received a higher score on Metacritic for both the PS4 and PC versions.

The better score isn't the only good news for Days Gone, as it would also appear that the game has become a financial success, reportedly selling over 8 million copies since its 2019 PS4 release, and a further 3 million copies sold through Steam. However, despite it still being a financial success, Sony has not gone through with developing a Days Gone sequel, though that hasn't stopped fans from wanting more. As of writing, there is a petition with over 200 000 signatures demanding a sequel. While there are no plans for another Days Gone game, Bend Studio has been hard at work creating a new game, one that they simply cannot wait to show off.

In a new tweet posted onto the studio’s official Twitter account, the studio recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. The team went on to thank gamers for all their love and support and sticking around with the studio from Syphon Filter games to Days Gone. They then go on to say "We can't wait to show you what's next!", implying that the studio may have something in store for gamers.

While we currently don't know anything about the studio's next game, as it's been almost years since the release of Days Gone, we do have some ideas. In 2021, there was a rumor circulating that indicated that the Studio was working on an unconfirmed Uncharted spin-off title that eventually got cancelled. The studio does have experience working with the Uncharted franchise, as in 2011 they did release Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PS Vita.

However, it would seem that due to the cancellation of the Uncharted spin-off game, the team has moved onto other projects, so it is unlikely to be it. However, the team also confirmed that they were working on a brand-new IP, which utilizes open-world systems introduced first in Days Gone. However, we don't have much else to go on as we know nothing about this new IP. Until we receive confirmation, we will have to wait and see what Bend Studio is working on. However, it is likely that they will release more details later this year.
