Pearl Abyss confirms DokeV remains in development with structured plans following Crimson Desert’s upcoming launch.

It looked like that crazy creature collector's game that was announced years ago never showed up, even though it was meant to come out around 2022. There was quiet after the big show, and people started to wonder what was going on with DokeV. Was the plan called off? Was it still going to come out? When could that really happen, if that's the case?

But at a recent investor meeting, some great news was shared. In 2024, it was revealed that Pearl Abyss was delaying work on DokeV so it could focus on its other big project, Crimson Desert. At that point, Crimson Desert had been in development for about five years. It had missed a few release dates, which worried people who had paid for it.

The future of the game looks bright.

Because both games use the same Black Space Engine, which they made themselves, the people who made them thought it would be smart to finish Crimson Desert first. So they worked on Crimson Desert first. They thought that once it was done, they could quickly move on to DokeV and use shared technology to speed up development instead of taking so long to finish Crimson Desert.

New trailers for Crimson Desert show that it will be a great game when it comes out sometime soon. This helps us understand Pearl Abyss's plan better. Even though Crimson Desert was done, company reps said on the investor call that they still needed about a year to get ready for launch. They think it will take about two years to fully prepare DokeV after that time.

And they promised that more information about DokeV would be available within the year. They also said that future games would be released at normal, stable times instead of being delayed all the time. So, 2027 could be a possible year for DokeV to come out. A Korean news source says that things might start moving again in the second or third quarter of this year.

The investor call said that growth would take two years, so this fits with that. It is said in the story that delays happen because Pearl Abyss only cares about making perfect works of art. This is similar to Kim Dae-il's personality, who likes things to be just right. As the executive producer, Kim is known to be very active in the making of the show.

Development will have to go more slowly because he is so focused on making sure the end result is good.

Crimson Desert's repeated delays were all caused by the same thing, even though people who know about the game say it's been usable and smooth for a long time. People say that the cleaning moves from frame to frame whenever it is thought that they need to be better.

People might have hope for DokeV's future if Crimson Desert lives up to what people say it will do in the end. The way it looks like it's working, and if the quality meets the goal, we might see the same level of increase in DokeV. This is an open-world action-adventure monster collector game made by Pearl Abyss, in case you don't remember.

They are also the ones who made Crimson Desert and Black Desert, the incredibly famous MMOs. As time went on, the project's goals changed from what they were at first (an MMO). It was decided that the MMO parts would be cut down so that the team could focus on making a better action-adventure game. When DokeV comes out, it will be playable on every device and PC.

The Black Space Engine is a big part of what makes DokeV possible. The people who made it have talked a lot about how well it can handle complicated physics, settings that change over time, and models of the real world. A movie from the beginning showed how physics and time work together to make the world feel alive.

What makes DokeV fun are the different animals that live in it.

The game seems great from what we've seen so far, but the real test will come when people play it and see how those features change how they play. It will always be compared to Pokémon, but there are some big differences. Players can't catch animals; they have to make friends with them. Dokebi's creators say that they come from unfinished thoughts and get stronger over time.

There are some that are hard to get because you have to do certain things before they will trust you. Since the goal is to make friends instead of capturing them, the usual way of collecting creatures is turned on its head. The main point of the story is to keep Dokebi from being used. This is the world of DokeV.

A business called "the Company" makes android robots that are driven by advanced AI. The AI chips in these robots are run by some that have been caught. People who played need to find out what happened and fight the company. The idea isn't a new way to tell a game's story, but it's a good place to begin a trip where you meet new people and creature types.

There are still some shared features in DokeV, even though it's not set up like an MMO. People will be able to fight bosses and do other things together. The main story can be played by one person, but some parts are meant to be played with a friend. There has been no talk of PvP features yet, so we don't know anything about that.

A video of the game being played shows that part of the story takes place in the beach town of Beluga. This is one of many big places where you can play. It looks like the Black Space Engine is being used to its fullest because this one spot looks so big. Crossing is also given a lot of attention. Over time, players will likely be able to move around in more than just roller skates and little cars.

People fight with their Dokebi friends when they play battle.

Because it's bright and there are different ways to move, the exploration method looks like a fun and active one. People in the story use weapons like a big hammer and other strange tools to beat their enemies. There is action combat and support for creatures, which points to a hybrid system where both human skill and how they work with creatures are important.

Now, it looks like DokeV has a better way to escape. Crimson Desert is almost finished, and there is a two-year plan for getting ready. This makes 2027 look like the goal. Pearl Abyss wants everything to be perfect, so there may be more delays. There is still reason to be hopeful about the new ways of talking to each other and planning.

We've had to wait years for important news, but now you can at least see how the plan is coming together. It's no longer looking like DokeV will never happen, even if 2027 doesn't happen. Instead, a well-polished adventure with a lively world, real animal friendship, and a brave stand against corporate greed is slowly coming into view.
