Little Misfortune's Official Trailer Is Creepy, Cute And Features A Duck-shaped Boat

Little Misfortune aims for a 2019 release.

Little Misfortune, the next project from the makers of Fran Bow, has received a new trailer giving us a better idea of what to expect from it. It shows the game's protagonist, one Misfortune Ramirez Hernandez, setting off to win the prize of Eternal Happiness in a game led by one Mr. Voice, who also happens to narrate the trailer. The title's cuteness is hard to miss, but by the end of the video, things take a creepier turn with disappearing people, dimensional shifts and the appearance of Morgo, a mysterious "monster" that Mr. Voice is a bit too quick to dismiss. That's not suspicious at all.

From what I can tell, Little Misfortune seems to be going for a more traditional point-and-click adventure approach to its gameplay, with choices being clearly outlined by some good old button prompts. It would fit it being "an interactive story, focused on exploration and characters, both sweet and dark, where your choices have consequences". Oh, and it's also set in the same universe as Fran Bow. Little Misfortune is set to release sometime next year on PC, consoles and mobile. Check out its Steam page.
