Persona 4: Golden Reaches Over 20,000 Active Players at Launch

Today, Persona 4: Golden launched on PC and everyone seems happy with the port. The Steam reviews are overwhelmingly positive with fans pleased with how the game runs on PC with the visual and framerate improvements. According to Steamcarts, the game has a concurrent player count of over 23,000 players.

Persona 4: Golden released back on the PS2 to high acclaim. However, many gamers, like myself, experienced the series for the first time with Persona 5 which was a huge success and the recent update Persona 5 Royal found equal success. So it's likely this massive player count is a combination of returning fans and newcomers wanting to play more titles in this series.

Persona 4: Golden stars the protagonist, a player-named hero who spends a year in a town outside Mount Fuji. While in the town the protagonist gets involved in solving murders happening inside the town while harnessing the power of summoning Personas.
