Valve not done with PS3 development

While Valve’s managing director, Gabe Newell highly detests developing games for the Playstation 3, there is still a possibility the company has not given up on Sony’s console just yet. At least--according to Left 4 Dead writer Chet Faliszek, Valve won’t fully abandon PS3 game development.
In an interview with Edge Online, Faliszek stated that before they jump back in the Playstation 3, they will need to “support it in the right way.” But the Left 4 Dead writer ended the statement saying they will “look at it, and I’m sure down the road we’ll do it."
PS3 owners shouldn’t expect any of Valve’s games being ported or announced to the console any time soon; since most of Valve’s current games are still exclusive to the PC and the Xbox 360, most notably with the announcement of The Passing, Left 4 Dead 2’s first DLC add-on (scheduled for release in Q2 2010). But with Faliszek’s assurances, there are good chances for Portal, Left 4 Dead, and future Valve installments being ported over to the Playstation 3.
