Defeating the Astraeos Miniboss in ARK: Survival Ascended can be a daunting challenge, but with the right strategy and preparation, you can conquer this powerful foe solo and with ease. Locating Astraeos

To begin your battle with Astraeos, make your way to the designated boss location. You will recognize this area by a large, distinctive tree standing prominently in the middle of an open space.

The location is found at roughly 1.2° latitude and 84.7° longitude. In the distance, you will also notice a blue Obelisk, further confirming you are in the right place.

Preparing for the Battle

For this encounter, you only need one tame: the powerful Dino Suit. If you do not already have a Dino Sutes, there are resources available to guide you through taming one.

The recommended stats for your Dino Suit are approximately 900 melee, with all other points allocated to health. Equipping a good saddle is also crucial for maximizing survivability and damage output.

Before starting the fight, ensure you are not in creative mode. Most importantly, equip a Gas Mask. The Astraeos Miniboss inflicts poison damage, and without a Gas Mask, you will be at risk of being killed or rendered unconscious.

Engaging Astraeos

Once you are ready, initiate the boss fight. Immediately mount your Dino Suit as soon as Astraeos spawns. The primary attack you will use is the Big Bite. On PC, hold the second mouse button to charge the Gigabyte attack, then release it to deal massive bleed damage.

After executing the Gigabyte, retreat and wait for the attack to recharge. If you become stuck, continue to maneuver until you can attack again. When the Big Bite is ready, charge and release it once more. Aim to hit both of the summoned pigs during each attack cycle.

To minimize incoming damage, run around the large tree in the center of the arena. This tactic helps you avoid many of Astraeos's attacks and keeps you in control of the fight.

Finishing the Fight and Claiming Rewards

Continue the pattern of charging and releasing the Big Bite, always aiming to hit both pigs. Adjust your stats, if necessary, as higher health and melee will make the fight even smoother. Once both pigs are defeated, the fight will conclude.

After you win, you'll get 30 Elements and a bunch of other valuable things and high-quality loot. This way of doing things makes beating the Astraeos Miniboss an easy and fun task.
