The fighting against endless waves of enemies while playing your favorite songs is what makes Dead as Disco one of its kind. Any kind of song track can be included in the action, from fast electronic to classic dance. It's easy to load your music, but getting it to align just right with your motions requires a little prep work.

This guide will show you everything you need to do to create your own soundtrack.
Click to use the Custom Music Feature
They can only be used in an area of the game called Infinite Disco mode. To access, navigate to the main menu screen and select the option just below The Encore Bar. After entering this area, you will be required to press RT to pass the new early access challenge stages. This will instantly open the Free Play menu. Near the top of your screen, you will find a certain button that says Add My Music. This will enable you to import your own files into the game.
Creating and uploading files
The system will only allow MP3 files for your custom tracks. These files can be obtained by downloading music from iTunes that has been purchased. The other way around is through the use of a web converter to convert video links to audio files. If you are using a converter, you will need to find video versions that have only the lyrics. This way you won't have to deal with unnecessary background noise that could disrupt the flow of the game. When you have your files, click on upload to add them to the system.

Hacky save syncing the Tempo and Settings
Once your file is uploaded, you can edit its title and change the way it is played. The most crucial thing to change is the tempo, which is measured by BPM. This number determines the speed of your attacks and your enemies' attacks in a battle. You'll want to choose a tempo of 120-200 BPM for the system to work most effectively. You can use the internet to find out the speed of your track if you don't know it. In most tracks simply setting the proper speed will suffice to achieve a good experience. If you do require a slight delay between the audio and what you do, the Beat Offset option is used to clean up the lag.
Utilizing Advanced Tools
You can open Advanced Editor tool if you wish your custom tracks to match your attacks perfectly. In this section, you'll have complete control of the fine details of the track. The best tool in this menu is the Calibrate button. This allows you to tap your buttons in sync with the music to set the timing yourself. After you've made all these adjustments, you can choose your song in the Infinite Disco mode and start fighting the beat.
